"A handwritten note is like dining by candlelight instead of flicking on the lights, like making a gift instead of ordering a product, like taking a walk instead of driving. Handwritten notes will add a lot to your life. You can still use the telephone or the web for the daily chores of staying in touch, but for the words that matter, it's courteous, classy, caring, and civilized to pick up a pen."

Did you miss me?

Sorry, I have had a really hard time adjusting to hubby's new schedule and with the boys and all....ok, enough excuses. Here are the photos I promised you last week.

PB060045

PB060046

Anyhow, these were all made by Barbara Vogt. I know she had said a lot of her cards were CASE'd....just not sure where from! Anyhow, thanks for sharing these with me Barbara. I hope that you all enjoy them as much as I did!

What a wonderful time

I had tonight. I attended a local Stampin'Up! Demos monthly meeting and spent some time with some wonderful ladies (and a gentleman)! Special thanks especially to Sherrill, Barbara and Penny for being so welcoming. Penny was so patient with me as I was having issues with the BigShot (total opperator error). I took some photos of some of their projects they brought to display and I will will try and get them posted tomorrow. I think you will love them! I also have a BigShot Banners class tomorrow, so we'll see how good my time management is hee hee!

Still "Under Construction"

The room is almost put back together. I can't believe I chose to do this while I was sick...but hey, kind of a normal thing for me.  Really the only thing that needs to happen before the room is fully operational as a "Stampin' Studio" is that I really need to get rid of all my extra stuff. I have retired stamp sets, magazines, idea books, retired SU accessories....and some other odds and ends. I now have a "Big Shot Station" and a Sewing Station that are new to the room....

I do plan on holding my class Friday night here....in the Stamp Room.....wish me luck!

Energizer Bunny

Sorry nothing to show you. We started the re-arrange the other day, then my 4 year old told me that he ate a battery. SO this has been a very eventful weekend, with 2 ER trips and a doc. visit and one very torn up up-stairs area of our home. Please excuse me for a day or two! (BTW - he's ok...battery is "gone" according to the last set of X-rays)

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone has a fun Halloween. I am sick sick sick sick ummm....sick. SO not so much fun for me, but I am going to try to pull it together for a little bit to see the boys trick or treat some.

October 30, 2008

I can't believe I'm going to do it all again

I am going to rearrange the upstairs. What does this have anything to do with stamping you might ask....well, I will be moving back in to my old stamp/classroom. Yup, the boys are going back to their own rooms and the stamp room is coming back. After moving the rooms around, we have encountered a few extra challenges and have also made the decision not to add to our family any time soon. (One of our original reasons for moving everything was to have an "extra" room) I am looking forward to having my old room back, as well as *hopefully* easier bedtimes with the boys. Soooo....my world may be a little crazy over the next week.

Hubby also starts his training for his new position next week and will be on day shift...the following week graveyard, then days, then......

I will try to keep up on postings and such. Even though I am really trying to figure out where all my readers have gone....my numbers are kind of in the dumps lately.....oh well.

A Nature Walk in Vegas?

How do you go on a nature walk in Vegas? It's not all that easy, let me tell you.  While most of the country can walk right outside their door and find cool trees and leaves, I had to resort to doing the almost unthinkable for a "local" - go to ....the STRIP.

Thanks to the Bellagio, I can take my boys on fantastic "nature walks"

PA080001  PA080007 (But y'all don't have trees like this......)
