Hi just wanted to post really quickly to say that I might not be posting much the next two weeks. Hubby is flying to Idaho on Wed. His Mom called us yesterday to let us know that his step dad only had a few days left. I'll be staying here with the boys. I am saddend as I would have loved to be able to attend the services, but it will be good for her to have her son there.
Dennis is an awesome man. I felt a great connection with him from the very first time I met him. He was my "co-boss" (Our spouses have a tendency to be a little goofy sometimes and somebody has to be the boss). He had a great zest for life, worked hard and finally retired less than a year ago. They had just finished building their dream home together a couple of years ago. A Nez-Perce indian he had a great draw to the land and was a true outdoorsman.
Being as I will be playing single mom for a week, and then leaving for SU Leadership convention, I probably will not have much time to post. Please bear with me.
On a side note - To any of my local gals - please note that my class on the 5th will now be cancelled. Love you all!

A few weeks ago we had the wonderful opportunity to climb aboard the Polar Express, Have cookies and Hot Chocolate, sing Christmas Carols, listen to the wonderful story of the Polar Express and then had the privilege of receiving a beautiful shiny new sleigh bell from Santa himself after picking him up from the North Pole......
Merry Christmas everyone! May the Bell still ring for you this year.
See you in a few days,
Love the Bohanon family

“For each of you may this be a merry Christmas. But more importantly, I wish for each of you a time, perhaps only an hour, spent in silent meditation and quiet reflection on the wonder and the majesty of this the Son of God. Our joy at this season is because He came into the world. The peace that comes from Him, His infinite love which each of us may feel, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for that which He freely gave us at so great a cost to Himself- these are of the true essence of Christmas.”

Christmas is the one time of year when people of all religions come together to worship Jesus Christ.
- Bart Simpson
Christmas is not just a day, an event to be observed and speedily forgotten. It is a spirit which should permeate every part of our lives.
- William Parks
Christmas is the season of joy, of holiday greetings exchanged, of gift-giving,and of families united.
- Norman Vincent Peale
I like that Christmas that fulfills my needs ... to be forgiven from greed and selfishness, to fill my empty soul with peace and compassion, for hope and faith and charity, for myself renewed and hope restored in an erring world.

Bless us Lord, this Christmas, with quietness of mind; Teach us to be patient and always to be kind.
Eva K. Logue
A Christmas candle is a lovely thing; It makes no noise at all, But softly gives itself away; While quite unselfish, it grows small.
Bess Streeter Aldrich
Christmas Eve was a night of song that wrapped itself about you like a shawl. But it warmed more than your body. It warmed your heart... filled it, too, with a melody that would last forever.
John Greenleaf Whittier
A little smile, a word of cheer, A bit of love from someone near, A little gift from one held dear, Best wishes for the coming year… These make a Merry Christmas!
Norman Vincent Peale
Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.

Well, Thursday night, my time was well spent helping during the delivery my friends baby. Mom and Baby Girl are well. She's the cutest and tiniest thing! I only got about 4 hours of sleep though....argh 3 year olds!
Anyhow, here is the 3rd TIme Well Spent card I promised. I challenged myself as I really have an aversion to printed butterflies. Wierd phobia maybe, but still. So I really have to try to use my butterfly stamps.
This card is 4.5" square card with a watercolor paper base. I used one of my fave techniques I picked up on From My Ink Pad to Yours blog to make the embossed square. THe butterflies and sentiment were stamped in Basic Gray ink. I stamped the butterflies on a scrap of water color paper and colored them in with my markers. I used Apricot Appeal, Tempting Turqouise and Certainly Celery. The first time I saw this technique IRL was when I received a swap card from Mary Polcin at convention. She is one of our top demonstrators and she told me that it is one of her fave techiques to demo. It turns out beautifully. Anyhow, I cut them out and mounted them on dimensionals. The top butterfly is actually 2 dimensionals on top of each other for a little extra pop. Hope you enjoy!

I am so pleased with the way that this card turned out! It actually turned out like the one in my head! A very simple card, with a bit of time consuming coloring.
This card also features Time Well Spent, the new level 3 hostess set. The random flowers are stamped in Basic Gray on Soft Sky cardstock. I then highlighted the outlines with my VersaMarker and White Gel Pen. It is striking. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White Cardstock, layered on Soft Sky and then for a little more contrast, Blue Bayou. The small flowers got a touch of Soft Sky as well. Shisper White Taffetta is wrapped around the card, and secured under the sentiment which is popped on dimensionals. I hope you enjoy.
I will be offering this card in finished sets of 5 for $25. This includes envelopes and shipping to US addresses. They will be nicely wrapped in a cello bag with coordinating ribbon, appropriate for gifting. Please use the email me link under my photo at the top left for ordering at this time.

Holy cow! Today I stamped. Just stamped. Not for a workshop necessarily, I just sat down to make a birthday card for a wonderful friend and then I kept going! Believe it or not, I had yet to put ink on my new Time Well Spent stamp set. It will be a level 3 hostess set in the upcoming catalog, but it was a free gift to demonstrators from our founder Shelli! How fun? Not to be totally ungrateful, I figured I'd better use it!
Being as I haven't had the opportunities much lately to stamp, I'm going to spread out my THREE cards over the next few days. Ha ha is that cheating? But I know I am going to go help deliver another baby either tonight or tomorrow, I am finishing up my Christmas Cards(which turned out so stinkin cute - I'll post them here later), baking with the boys, 2 birthdays this weekend and then on Monday night I am hosting a Holiday Happiness Thank You party. Open to all my friends, customers, hostesses, and downline team members. Just a free night of stamping, hot chocolate and goodies. Instead of a gift exchange, I am collecting for a family who could really use a little extra this year.
Ok, back to the card. This one was showcased as an idea for demonstrators to use from the Stampin'Up! demo site. I tweaked it a little, but the idea is still the same.
The card base is Kraft cardstock and the sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip, then filled in with the VersaMarker and White Gel Pen. I accented the flowers with Regal Rose mini brads. A strip of Old Olive ribbon is wrapped around and tied in an off center knot. The main flower which is stamped on Regal Rose cardstock then cut out, was also stamped with Chocolate Chip, then highlighted with VersaMarker and White Gel Pen. It is also on dimentsionals. I stamped a smaller flower on Groovy Guava cardstock and cut it out, then layered it together with the small flower stamped on So Saffron, highlighted with the White Gel Pen, then placed in a Build A Brad! It really is quite an easy card!
I think I am going to treat my guests to this project on Monday night, it will also be a feature for my January workshops. If you would like some for yourself and are unable to attend any of my events, I will offer this as a prestamped kit or finshed card package.
Prestamped kits can be purchased in sets of 5 for $15 . This will include: All items stamped, and colored, plus any necessary prep work on my end (punching etc). You may have some cutting, but basically all you will need to do is assemble them. Includes envelopes and shipping to US addresses.
Finished cards can be purchased in sets of 5 for $25. They will be completed as above, and wrapped nicely in a cello bag. Includes envelopes and shipping to US addresses.
Until I can get the bugs worked out in my PayPal store widget, please just email me if you are interested.
