So, here are my 7 things:

1: I used to eat cake mix out of the box. Yup, straight from the box with a spoon.

2: I've had a best girlfriend for over 20 years now.

3: I live in Vegas now, but used to live south of Atlanta for a few years. I love the south and miss it almost every day.

4: I don't like circle containers. I wish everything in my kitchen could be square. Square plates, canisters, cups, pots......It's just so ineffecient.

5: I used to Karaoke - a LOT. I haven't sang in front of people in almost 10 years.

6: Earwigs FREAK ME OUT!

7: I always hope that I can continue to become a person.

My little Stampin Man - and blog candy

So here are some photos of the man in action. He loves to stamp woth Mommy. Mommy is usually a wreck, but I find it forces me to slow down and realize that it is such a great opportunity to spend quality time with and teach my baby.

Also, please if you have a moment, please try to leave a comment on my last post. As of right now, I have 2 comments - I'd really like to send out some blog candy.  Just not sure what yet.I think I want to dig up a stamp set or something to give away - all for just a little opinion.......

That I wouldn't be posting on Sundays, but I am able to steal a few moments thanks to Bob the Builder. I have a question for you all......

Stampin' Customers - What are your favorite types of classes to attend and why? What made you really want to attend? What classes/events do you wish your demo would hold?

Stampin' Demos - What are your favorite types of events to hold? What do you think makes them successful?

I am hoping that we can all learn from this post - so please comment. SU demos might get some really good ideas from each other and from hearing what customers have to say - and the customers get to leave some really good input to help out the demos give the best classes/ events! It's a WIN WIN situation. Now don't be shy and leave a comment!

Guilty

Stampin'Up! sent this set to all the demonstrators for Christmas and I am soooo guilty of not using it enough. They even posted all these super cute samples! This is a great example of watercoloring. Enjoy!

Instructions 1. Stamp greeting image in Jet Black StazOn ink on bottom left of Mellow Moss card (4-1/4" x 11"). 2. Tear watercolor paper on left and bottom edges. Stamp stem and leaf images repeatedly in Jet Black StazOn ink. 3. Stamp two large flowers and one tulip flower in Jet Black StazOn ink on watercolor paper. Stamp two smaller blossoms and one tulip on to watercolor paper (1-1/4" x 4-1/4"). 4. Watercolor image using Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue, Bravo Burgundy, Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, and So Saffron ink and watercolor brushes. Cut out two small blossoms and one tulip, and adhere to front of card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. 5. Adhere watercolor paper to Always Artichoke card stock (4-1/4" x 5-1/2"). Tear Always Artichoke card stock around outer edge of watercolor paper. Attach Pewter ribbon holder to lower left side of layered watercolor paper and Always Artichoke card stock. Tie Spring Moss gingham ribbon (4") to ribbon holder. 6. Adhere Always Artichoke card stock to card. ****Sorry that this is all you're getting today...having a pretty rough day. Great Stampin'Up! news (and more)

First I am excited to announce that Stampin'Up! will directly be accepting customers credit cards now! If you have always wanted to pay for your purchases with Visa, MC, or AmEx you are in luck. If this previously held you back in either ordering or signing up as a demonstrator I welcome you to come forth with reckless abandon! Ok - so maybe that's a little too enthusiastic.

Second, for those of you who are in love with all the cute sets that this Occassions mini catalog has brought us, Stampin'Up! is extending the sales period through June 30th! WooHoo! Call me or email me with your "Gotta Have It" list.

Also I am considering a few classes here towards the end of May. The classes I am working on are a 6x6 brag book, it would include the brag book scrapbook and all supplies. Probably a $50 class. I am also thinking about a "Great Giftables" class. This one would be all those fun little things like the tins, boxes and table favors or centerpieces. I am also considering offering a few of the items as kits here as well. I think I might have a little time to plan as I am in recovery.

Ok, so I should probably stop with the puns...sorry - just in the mood. I really like this gift idea. So many times we need a quick, small gift and this is just perfect!

Ink CLASSIC STAMPIN PAD BASIC BROWN STAMPIN WRITE MARKER REGAL ROSE	Accessories: PUNCH HANDHELD 1/16 INCH CIRCLE THREAD LINEN STICKY STRIP PUNCH 1/4 INCH CIRCLE RIBBON GROSGRAIN CHOCOLATE CHIP 5/8 INCH
Instructions 1. Wrap Soft Sky Prints Designer Series paper (4-1/4" x 5") around candy bar, and adhere using Sticky Strip. 2. Tie Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain ribbon (8") around candy bar. 3. Stamp greeting in Basic Brown ink on Whisper White card stock (3-5/8" x 5/8"). Color flowers using Regal Rose Stampin’ Write marker. 4. Punch multiple circles from Regal Rose card stock (1" x 4") using 1/4" Circle punch, and adhere behind tag to make scalloped edge. 5. Punch hole in top of tag using 1/16" Circle punch, and tie tag to candy bar using linen thread (4").

I resisted - or did I?

Well, I didn't resist the challenge of doing a wax resist project, but I did "resist" on the project! Geez - I'm going to confuse myself. Here is my quick and simple card I made for an engagement party I went to on Saturday.

I used Stampin'Up!'s cute set from the new Occassions mini "Big on Spring" I stamped it in StazOn ink on glossy cardstock.Then all I did was color in the image with a white crayola crayon then sponged over it with Soft Sky ink. Piece of cake. I wanted to dress it up a little more, so I ventured to the scary glitter again and glitterfied the flowers. The main panel is layered on Whisper White and the main card is also Whisper White, there I just layered a piece of Soft Sky cardstock and designer series paper. I hope she liked it!

Instructions 1. Stamp XOXO image repeatedly in Versamark ink on Bashful Blue card. 2. Wrap Whisper White taffeta ribbon around front of card, and tie using linen thread. 3. Stamp greeting in Basic Black ink on card. 4. Punch square from Real Red card stock using 1-3/8" Square punch. 5. Color love image using White crayon on Glossy White card stock (2" x 3"). Bray over card stock using Old Olive ink and brayer. Punch out image using 1-1/4" Square punch, and layer on Real Red square. Adhere to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. 6. Adhere Real Red button over “O” in “Love.” 7. To create envelope, ink greeting using Old Olive Stampin’ Write marker, and stamp on Whisper White envelope.

Going Green

Happy Earth Day! Enjoy the Green for a few days then it'll be back to my beautiful blue. PLease take a few moments today to do something positive for our Earth. It doesn't have to be big, it can be small- start recycling, purchase some reusable grocery bags - and take your old ones back to the store for recycling, change your lightbulbs to CFL's, check your A/C filter, walk someplace instead of drive. Together we can do it!

Well......

Did you like the little favor bag? I know - super easy project, but I think it's a great one! Ilike easy! So I had to make one myself right?

Ok, so again I tweaked it a little to make it what I wanted. I have seen so many cute projects where someone has cut this flower out of the Bali Breeze designer series paper, and I really wanted to make a project with one. I decided to attempt to get over my fear of glitter and I went around the edges with some glue and SU's micro fine glitter in the aqua color. Goes great with this. I used some of my Flower Fusion felt flowers and a little bling-y brad in the center. I know - TOO CUTE huh? A quick rub on on the bottom of the bag, some goodies inside and a length of old Olive wide grosgrain and some Pumpkin Pie grosgrain and ta-da! I put a bunch of scraps of the Bali Breeze paper inside. It's my goal to give it to one of my great downline members as a prize (not sure for what yet), but it would also make a great hostess gift - don't you think? Ok, so where's yours? SHARE!
