That I wouldn't be posting on Sundays, but I am able to steal a few moments thanks to Bob the Builder. I have a question for you all......
Stampin' Customers - What are your favorite types of classes to attend and why? What made you really want to attend? What classes/events do you wish your demo would hold?
Stampin' Demos - What are your favorite types of events to hold? What do you think makes them successful?
I am hoping that we can all learn from this post - so please comment. SU demos might get some really good ideas from each other and from hearing what customers have to say - and the customers get to leave some really good input to help out the demos give the best classes/ events! It's a WIN WIN situation. Now don't be shy and leave a comment!
I keep looking for ways to give out prizes....but y'all got to bite!
I'm a demo and my most popular class to hold and do is a Simply Scrappin' card making class. It's great because my customers can make a ton of cards in a short period of time, and there's very little prep work for me.

I like new techniques (heat embossing as an example), seeing new product in action and classes with a focus (e.g. I did a class to make an accordion album for Mother's Day. I finished it, got to use all my demo's tools and had something to give my MIL! Perfect!). Cheers Jeanna!

So far my best ones have been
1) One where they get a free set AND make some cards from it at a class - cheaper cost set
2) Stamp a Stacks
I don't know what people are expecting any more actually! Those were my best two! They still lik when you can just get together and play too! I had a PMS (Pizza, movies and stamping) that was fun! Good luck with whatever you get!

I am a customer. The things I would like to attend are classes that teach gift type things. I know how to make cards, but am always looking for great ideas to use as gifts.

I am a customer. I like to learn a new technique and see a new product in action. Something I didn't like was an event where we made five cards but all had the exact same layout. I would rather have seen five favorite layouts. jmniffer

I have been a SU Demo for 7 years. I hold classes in my home 3 times a month. And I also do traditional workshops! But my favorite event to hold by far are my Stamp-A-Stacks! A lot of prep time goes into the event. But the day of the event, I sit back and watch my customers go to town on the cards that they are creating!

I am a demo and have held only a few classes. My club members are my main customers and are often too busy to do classes and clubs in the same month. But, I need to expand. I had success when I held a birthday card class. A lot of my customers now are asking for a stamping 101 class - Learning to use wheels and other basic things. I don't know how to charge for it but I want to do it.

I am a fairly new Demo.
But I always find learning new techniques
is always exciting. Trying not to get
into something to complicated.
Also everyone likes to be able to make
a quick & easy card or craft.
You can also do challenges (sketch or color)
are fun and can use up scraps.
It really depends on the experience of
your stampers.
*Thanks for a chance to WIN your blog candy.

I'm a customer - i enjoy classes where we learn new techniques; get to see new stamps, or just have time (and space) to churn out a bunch of cards - like for Christmas, or a stack of birthday cards or what-have-you.

I haven't been a SU! Demo for very long but I LOVE doing stamp clubs where girls can meet either once a week, once every two weeks, or once a month just to stamp and get some ideas. I also love doing a 10 cards for $10 class. They are lots of fun too. They are also easy to prepare for!

I'm a Demo and have had Stamp Clubs for 2 years, which have been very popular and FUN for me! I love getting together with these girls who either were my friends to begin with or who become my friends through stamping at my home together! I love that I don't have to worry if I forget something because I can walk in the next room to grab it. The girls all love to talk and seem to enjoy anything I put in front of them! At least I hope so!

i am a demo - my customers love to have a camp where there is remaining product to take home as part of their fee,

I love new technique classes, I would go to one every month to learn and practive new techniques. It's fun to try new things. I also absolutely love stamp a stack, especially when they are card / scrapbook pages. I can get tons done and have a huge stack of layouts to add photos to when I get home. Hope this helps. BTW never went to a stamp class where I was able to take product home, Would defineatley participate in something like that where you come and make a few things with one set and get the set included in the cost of the class.. That would rock....

I'm a customer and I like the make and take classes. The stamps drew me in...always. I wish that my demo would do a bit more colorful or different techniques classes sometimes. I feel like it's always the same thing over and over. Thanks for sharing.

I'm a customer and I love stamp-a-stacks especially when they have a theme (birthday, Christmas, etc). I think it would be fun to be part of a stamp club, but my demo doesn't offer one because of lack of interest by her customers. Thanks for the chance to win.

I'm a customer. I really like new techniques and card classes showing multiple techniques with one thing - like a whooooole bunch of ways to use punches, etc...
Stamp-a-stacks are great, too!

I am a customer and take stamping classes once a month. I love to learn new techniques and see how to use a stamp set in different ways. My demo always does about a dozen different cards witht he same stamp set that we are using for our class. That way we get to see other ways to use it. Right now I am getting a little bored after 18 months. We always just do 3 cards.

I like a class that shows me how to make something other than a card or a class where I can learn a new technique.
Another one I like is just a simple scrap till you drop class.
Thanks.Richelle

My demo has stamp classes once a month and I love them. She teaches about 4 cards/items. Usually 3 cards and a gift (boxes, candy wrappers, accordian cards, etc). She also tries to include a new technique and a quick, simple card. I love her classes. Also I love theme classes, such as holidays, birthdays, etc. She also holds occasionally (I wish more often) a specialty class such as an altered lunchbox with dividers, recipe box, etc. She is one reason I love Stampin Up. I hope this helps and thanks for offering up some blog candy.

I think the make and takes are a great idea, especially if they are gift ideas and not just cards. There are always times when it's nice to have a little gift to give.

I'm a demo. I like going to classes that my up-line has. It's a great way to refresh and learn and ask questions. They are usually like 2 hours long and we make like 4 or 5 projects. Usually a few cards and then something cool like a bag.

I love classes on making a project (i.e., an altered tin, a photo "box", a paperbag album). But simple make and take cards are fun, too!
