I am loving these projects provied for demonstrators from Stampin'Up! Here is a really cute little favor idea. Think I'm going to try my hand at this one too. I'll post that tomorrow or something!

Ink CLASSIC STAMPIN PAD CHOCOLATE CHIP	Accessories: CRIMPER COLUZZLE CUTTING SYSTEM STARTER SET CELLO BAGS FLAT MEDIUM 4 x 6 (50) SANDING BLOCKS GLUE DOTS MINI BUTTONS EARTH ELEMENTS STAMPIN DIMENSIONALS PUNCH 3/4 INCH CIRCLE RIBBON GROSGRAIN REAL RED 1/4 INCH PUNCH 1 INCH CIRCLE
Instructions 1. Fill bag with treats, and tie closed using Real Red narrow grosgrain ribbon. 2. To create belly band, cut circle from Chocolate Chip textured card stock (3" x 3") using Coluzzle Cutting System, and adhere to Old Olive Prints Designer Series paper (10" x 2"). 3. Adhere More Mustard Prints Designer Series paper (3-1/2" x 3-1/2") to chipboard star, and sand edges. Adhere to belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals. 4. Punch circle from Real Red card stock (2" x 2") using 1" Circle punch. 5. Stamp greeting in Chocolate Chip ink on Very Vanilla card stock (2" x 2"), and punch out using 3/4" Circle punch. Layer on Real Red circle, and adhere to belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere Old Olive button to center of greeting. 6. Wrap Old Olive Prints Designer Series paper around bag, and adhere ends together.

As I was making my version last night, I realized that there were some issues with the original measurements, so I monkeyed around with them and got them all fixed. I'm so happy with the way this turned out! As you can see, I kept a lot of the original ideas, but I think I definitely succeeded in makingit my own. I changed the paper to Wild Wasabi, along with the ribbon to the Wild Wasabi Double Stitched. I also wanted a more masculine look so I decided to just go with a simple rectangular tag instead of a round one (I really wanted to put a scallop circle on....) I stamped this adorable little turtle with StazOn ink onto Watercolor paper. I used my Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky and Blue Bayou reinkers with my aquapainter pen to get the coloring on the turtle. His hat I just colored in with Pumpkin Pie and Cameo Coral markers. I used a jumbo eyelet and my Crop A Dile for the top of the tag......

Instructions 1. Cut Soft Sky card stock to 81/2" x 6-1/2". Score vertically at 1", 4", and 5 and 8". Score horizontally 1" from the bottom. Cut out bottom corner squares, and fold along all score lines. 2. Pierce row of holes around top of box using paper-piercing tool from Crafters’ Tool Kit. 3. Adhere Soft Sky Prints Designer Series paper (8-1/2" x 3") to box. Adhere Real Red card stock (8-1/2" x 1/2") to box, and add staples. Assemble box. 4. Ink flower image using Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi ink, and stamp on Confetti White card stock (3" x 3"). Stamp greeting next to flowers in Soft Sky ink. 5. Stamp flowers image in Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie card stock. Cut out flower, and adhere to Confetti White card stock. Attach Silver brad to center of flower. 6. Cut out image using Coluzzle Cutting System, and pierce holes around part of the edges using paper-piercing tool from Crafters’ Tool Kit. 7. Punch hole in circle using 1/8" Circle punch. Tie Real Red narrow grosgrain ribbon through hole, and adhere to box using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Gosh darn that's a long word, huh?

Next Wednesday I will be having one. I'm sure it's as fun as it sounds. Basically it's an upper GI endoscopy to find out what's wrong with my "tummy". Hopefully after this we will be able to figure out why I've been in so much pain and why I look 4 months pregnant (yikes! - I'm really not, but I'm very grateful for the style of shirts out right now so I can hide that a little bit). So to track this - next Wed. is the Endoscopy; Thursday is large skin tag/mole removal from my neck at the dermatologist, annual at "that doctor", Friday is Pre-Op for the tonsillectomy and then the following Wed is the tonsillectomy. E-Gad! Not been easy keeping up on the cheerfulness level. Combine this with the stupid house projects I started and my husband studying for an exam at work to promote and you can image the stress level in this house.

I'm so grateful for such a positive outlet. I love stamping and the family that comes along with it. I am so grateful for all of you that visit me here everyday, and I know you come for projects and stuff, not to hear about all my drama right now, but the friendships I have formed through this avenue mean the world to me, and I do feel like it's family. Thank you for all the emails and comments of support! Y'all are the best. Thank you. I will try to keep up with posting, but I'm not promising consistency.....

Stamp Sets for Sale

Many of you have noticed that nice little link in the upper right corner under pages - "Retired Stamps for Sale" I am still trying desperately to move some of these so my Mom will have some room to stay after my surgery. If there is anything you are interested in, feel free to email me an offer. I've already "made some deals" on a few, and I'm still willing to. There will be more photos of other stuffs later - right now I gotta run to another Dr.'s appointment. Thanks!

More photos of my Stamping Room

Here are three  more photos of my Stamping Room.  The first one is my shelf that sits right above my desk. It's a shelf that my Dad made for me quite a few years ago. I used to display samples on it, but now it's had to become more functional. My background stamps are in tin planter boxes from Home Interiors (discontinued) and the tins along the bottom shelf I found in the Target Dollar Sppot last year. The punches are hanging on a curtain rod.

The second photo is of the closet in the room and it holds all of my Stampin'Up! business supplies, retired colors and non SU stuff as well as items for my other crafting hobbies (cross stitch, crochet and sewing).

The last photos is a more close up of my workstation. It is a drafter's table that my DH picked out a few years ago. I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole in my paper trimmer (sooo easy) and hung it on the wall. The little drawer on the right holds my craft and rubber scissors and my handheld punches as well. A few often used items sit in the little basket (Mono adhesive/dimensionals, bone-folder....)

The new Stamp Room

Here are a few photos of the new stamp room. Kind of eclectic and I am still getting used to reducing my immediate work space, but it's not too bad. Forces me to be a little neater, a little more focused. I am still working on adding more accents of Bashful Blue and Choc. Chip. If anyone wants to RAK me Bashful Blue Prints Paper - or really cute little items for the room - I will totally brag all over you in an amazing post here.... hee heee heee hee

Just Because I love Blue Jeans

Ok, I must admit, I am really not good at using circles, that's why it's really odd that I made two cards with large circles in one night. I made this card last weekend during VSN and the challenge was to make an "all blue card" inspired by Blue Jeans. Well, for most of my life all I have worn is jeans. I've worn acid wash, "peg" rolled them, worn huge baggy ones, Wranglers I could barely sit in and even some low rise - but I LOVE my jeans. I really wanted to make a couple for this challenge, but I think this was the last one I got to for the night and i was getting a little sleepy. The colors I used were Stampin' Up's In Colors for this year - Soft Sky and Blue Bayou. I used some of the Designer Series paper and made this "z" fold. It's a great way to show off our papers. I used the stamp set "Text and Texture" which I totally love and FINALLY used. The background (I guess) of this stamp was stamped in the Soft Sky, and I stamped the Just Because right over it in the Blue Bayou. Really easy card, and not as "denim-y" as I should have done, but I think I like it just the same.

My little stampin' man - at it again

So my little man wanted to stamp again. This time a birthday card for his Uncle Stevie and a just because card to send to his Nana Pam (Mom if you read this, act surprised in a day or so!). Once again he picked out all the colors, and the stamp sets. I did very little coaching or helping, letting him take the lead. He thought it was really cool how he made the elephant stand on the giraffe's head and that there was a going to be a penguin on the other giraffe's back. He said he had to put a lot of horn's on Uncle's card because birthdays are very noisy........All SU products...mostly Bold Brights.....StampinKub might want to watch out (j/k hee hee hee)
