My Swap for the Splitcoast dinner

I think one of the more anticipated events at a Stampin'Up! event is the SCS get together. I attended the dinner in Palm Springs and sat with some great ladies. It's fun to get to know the "names" in person...did you know I'm copsmonkey? hee hee....anyhow, here is my card. I actually swapped about 15 of these last year at convention and then I broke my Crop a Dial - hopefully, none of the ladies I am swapping with at dinner are one of the 15 from last year...if so - well, I hope they will pass it on to downline or something and not be upset! The hippo is stamped on both sides of the vellum overlay to get the mirror image.

at Convention itself is a "Dream Swap" and I am really looking forward to this. Even though all of our Designer Papers are retiring, I think that we are really looking for ideas. This has always been one of my favorite projects to make.  There's no stamping on this....just Tempting Turquoise DSP. On SCS it's usually found under "fantasy box". I plan on adding some candies to one of the boxes too.

A quiet day in blog land

Ok, maybe it's because I really only keep SU blogs on my reader (and a few others), and everyone is cramming for convention, but nobody is posting! That's ok, keeps me working on my swaps and not looking at everything else.

Convention Swap

Ok, here is my first swap photo to share with you. I made 80 of these to swap in "general swapping" during convention. I'm a little nervous on these - what do you think?

The only stamp sets are Itty Bitty Backgrounds and Family Phrases. The base of the card is Pale Plum and Perfect Plum. The cones are Close to Cocoa and scored every 1/4" to give the cones some texture. The scoops are Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla and Close to Cocoa and the cherry is Riding Hood Red. I used the scallop circle punch for the scoops and just cut off half of the scallops. I hope it's well received...would you swap with me?

Finally

I am very pleased to announce that Stampin' Up! will be instituting on-line ordering this Fall. What does that mean to you? I will share more details as I know them, but I wanted to share my excitement with you! Here is another project snagged from the SU demo website (sorry all my demo readers - not too exciting for ya, huh?). Anyhow, I thought this was agreat use of our products, so I thought I'd share! I'm using the Text and Texture set in one of my swaps...should I take a photo and share?
