I really don't like when I am waiting for a UPS package on Tuesdays or Fridays. You see, because I usually end up running to the window several times, just to see a trash truck. I like Robert (one of our trash guys - when you have two toddler boys you get used to running outside to say Hi and wave at the trash truck) but honestly, his truck is white, and I just want to see a BROWN truck. SO after about 20 trips to the window today I heard it! THE truck. I thought I heard it, had DH check and he said that he didn't see it...I knew better...he was turning around in the cul de sac - coming back for ME! I went running down the stairs at risk of injury and there he was...what was taking him so long? Why was he in the back of the truck for an eternity (like maybe a full minute)? He comes to the cab....I am standing in the middle of my yard now and he says, "I don't have them"
ME: "WHAT!?!?! - you're kidding right? You know I am insane and NEED to have my new stamps and Big Shot today or I might fall over right here!"
BROWN: Maybe it got loaded on the truck next to mine
ME: "You're kidding?" (I said this a LOT)
BROWN: Let me call the other guy....
***Hubby is now standing at the door to make sure I haven't hurt the guy trying to get my boxes - laughing at me because I am now jumping up and down like my two year old screaming - "It's not fair!"
BROWN: He doesn't have it
ME: "You're kidding?" - (See I told you so)
Anyhow....he proceeds to tell me that the other guy took it off his truck and it's at the building and he will call so that it will still get to me today. Of course I am in a panic at this point, worried about my poor little stamps all alone in a big warehouse when they just want to come to Momma, and thinking that I'll believe it when I see it......so at 8:30 I heard that wonderful sound......of crunching gears and squeaky brakes....I was reserved enough not to takle and hug/kiss the UPS guy....probably a good thing 'cuz SHE may not have been too happy....
So anyhow- I really need to go play with my new stamps - they've been so lonely. However it did take me only a matter minutes before I was throwing paper scraps through my Big Shot! I think I'm in love - but that's another post....
Good night!
You are hilarious!! Are you having fun? I sure hope you post some of the delicious stamp candy that you ordered. I am still waiting for mine. Is the Big Shot worth it? I told DH it would be and he kindly (well,I relentlessly told him how much I wanted one into the wee hours of the morning until he finally relented and gave in just so that he could get some sleep) said that I could order one. Isn't he a sweetie? Now, I get to sit and hope that someone, somewhere (hint, hint) will throw me a taste of some new stuff. Please, just one little picture, teehee!!

Your story is very cute, and quite funny too! So glad to hear your goodies made it home to "Momma"!
