Ok, so a highlight of convention every year is by far the amazing display boards. They are comprised with hundreds of cards, scrapbook pages and projects submitted by Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. I chose to focus in on cards that really caught my attention. These are just a few (I took quite a bit) Let me know if you saee one of yours!

Stampin' Addicts Meet and Greet

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the first ever Stampin' Addicts Meet and Greet event. Let me tell you - I am not sure I have ever met a more giving, excited and caring group of demonstrators. Their site is phenomenal and quickly becoming one of my favorites. I met so many amazing women and some that I truly admire, for many reasons. I participated in two swaps - a card candy swap and a 6x6 recipe page swap that I will be sharing photos of later. But here are a few people photos from the night

I am really hoping that some stamping mojo from these ladies rubbed off. For those of you that don't know who these amazing demonstrators are the one on the left is Jan Tink an amazingly talented and funny stamper whose work is just GOJUS! and Dawn Griffeth a true leader in blogging, sales and recruiting with Stampin' Up!  Wonderful, funny and sweet women.

Here is Tandra (Inkalicious), Barbara Jean (babswith8) and myself (copsmonkey). I have admired Tandra's wonderful personality for a few years, first on SCS, and now with Stampin'Addicts. She is so much fun.

I truly encourage you to check out www.StampinAddicts.com it only started earlier this year, but is proving to be quite a force. It is dedicated to becoming a postive environment to share hints, tips, tricks, and creative ideas featuring Stampin' Up! I feel that it has so much to offer and I am grateful to be parted of this group. It can only stand to improve as more Stampin' Up! demonstrators choose this site as a place to share.

So much to show and tell....

 

 Wow! Where do I begin? I feel like my posts have been so long, yet there is so much I haven't shown you! This morning's session started with our President, Dale Fillmore giving us our "State of the Company" address. He spoke about our recruiting and sales numbers and issued us convention attendees a phenomenal challenge. Next came Shelli's "stamping" segment. This year instead of stamping, she chose to show us 14 different handmade gift items...WOW!!! Talk about thinking outside the box. I never in a million years would have dreamed of some of the projects she came up with. Here are a few photos. It was a pretty popular display and a little hard to get to, so sorry if they aren't great photos.

Stampin' Up! Convention Make N Takes

 

One of my favorite parts of Convention is the Make N Takes. Stampin' Up! always comes up with unique project ideas featuring the Free sets that we receive in our convention bag. This year we received:

Tree Trimmings, Sweet Season,Things I Love, Hello Again and the matching wheel

As you can see, once again, we had the opportunity to make some really fun projects. In the days and weeks to come I'll post some more samples featuring these sets. Hope you enjoyed. Don't forget to come back for more!

Care to meet up?

So I know I should have organized better, but is anyone else attending convention interested in meeting up? I was thinking maybe Friday, right after classes maybe somewhere over by memento mall? Leave me a comment....

Stampin' Up! Convention - Check In Day

 

While I have tons of photos of swaps and some great projects I made at my convention events, I thought you might want to see some things from inside the convention center. The displays are AMAZING and really showcase our new product unbelievably.

Doing this during this stage of pregnancy is not easy. I am getting tired very easily. I am taking lots of water and snacks with me. Trying to get in as much rest as I can.

 

You know what - these stenciled items are really a lot cuter in person than the samples I've seen in the catalogs. The catalogs just do not do them justice!

 

I love this new paper that will be in our Holiday mini catalog. It has the most beautiful colors and GORGEOUS in person.

  I also was able to take some photos of some of the new projects on the new Digital Studio Software - WOW WOW WOW WOW!

 

 

I would have to say the most noticeable feature of these products are the amazing QUALITY. The paper and the finish is exquisite. This is going to be even better than I expected.

Pre-Convention

I arrived in Salt Lake City  Monday afternoon, with just minutes to check in to one hotel and then quickly drive over to another one to start STAMPING! We started with a project shoebox swap and WOW - what great projects. Here's three that we made at my table - I need to get photos of the other 2.

 

 

 

I had a quick break, came back to the hotel room, had a great dinner of Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip and Crispy Sicilian Style California Pizza Kitchen Pizzas. Yummy.

Then back over to the Plaza Hotel (I'm staying at the Shilo) for a fun reunion party where we made two of the CUTEST projects EVER.

First was this adorable Halloween CD and Holder using the fun Halloween rub-ons from Stampin' Up!

 

Here I am getting ready to work. I blinked! UGH!

 

The next project was simply AMAZING!!! I am really thinking about offering these projects to my local stamping girls back in Vegas. Vegas ladies - What do you think?

Tomorrow the plan is to get to the Convention Center early - wait in line at Memento Mall, check in, get our bags - then head to a local eat spot "Ruth's Diner" that was recently featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives" on the Food Network Channel. Planing on getting either their biscuits and gravy or their Mac n Cheese (which they is better than your Mama's - I'm not sure about that, but I'll let you know). After lunch we want to head down to Riverton to tour the Stampin' Up! Home Office. Should be a fun day. So far the toe held up pretty good today.....let's see what's in store.

July MISS Swaps info and an Announcement

July Swappers - the swaps went in the mail yesterday (Friday) morning. I am really sorry for the delay, but you see - I've been REALLY tired the last few weeks. We found out a few weeks ago that

we are expecting  baby #3!!!

I am really excited but have barely been able to keep my eyes open. Between this and my broken toe, I don't think I'll be quite as hyper at Convention this coming week as I usually am.I do plan on posting most nights while I'm there, so check back often.
