So it was my turn to choose the theme this week, so I chose to go with the obvious...Boys! If you've been following my blog for any length of time you know that there is one thing that means more to me than anything in the world - my boys. I will admit that I originally planned to do a page celebrating my amazing husband, but I was out of town this week and took these great photos of my boys so I chose to scrap this fun series of my oldest boy. If you click on the photo it should come up in full screen so you can read the cute story!
Well, as much as I would love to chat, I am WAY behind...it's 11:30 on Thursday night and I have to leave at 6:45 in the morning! Yikes! Wish me luck, I'll report back later!
So, with that I hope that you enjoy this week's blog hop. I can not wait to see what everyone came up with!

So....this week obviously did not go as planned. I went out of town and had intentions of getting a few posts done and pre-scheduled to post. Well....I had issues with internet connection and it didn't happen. I WILL have a MDS Blog Hop post for you tomorrow though!!!!

This week Aleasha chose the very fun theme of "Cupcakes" or possible baking if we needed a little broader theme to work with. I really considered doing a page about some of the cupcakes I had created, but I also needed some birthday cards for my stash, so I figured I would "kill two birds with one stone" and make up a cute card that could be used for girls both young and young at heart.
The cupcake is from the stamp brush set So Cute. I colored it in using the drop shadow/punch technique.
It is "stamped" on a Very Vanilla circle matted on Basic Gray. That is layered on a So Saffron scallop circle punch. Inside the scallops of the circle I placed a small circle punch filled with one of the polka dot patterns from the Hello Baby paper.
The 3 rectangles are filled with Hello Baby papers and I placed a layer of Very Vanilla on top and changed the opacity to give it the look of vellum. 4 little Basic Pearls adorn the corners to finish it off.
I hope my recipients like it, and I hope you like it as well!
Now, go check out my other talented MDS friends!

Just a heads up, it's my plan to start having posts every Mon-Fri, but Satuday is my day with my kiddos and Sunday is well....Sunday. It's important for me to keep my Sabbath, so I have decided not to post or try to schedule posts on Sunday.
Soooooooo, anyhow.....he is my 3rd Convention Swap. This is almost an EXACT copy of the sample that is shown in the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog. It features the Noteworthy Hostess CD. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Such fun colors and patterns. Because I copied straight from the catalog, it came together PDQ (pretty darn quick!) I love being able to use the embellishment pieces.
I wish there was something more exciting to tell you about this card. All I can tell you is that I think it is soooo worth Hostessing or placing a qualifying order so that you can get this CD. If you do not have a Demonstrator and live in the US, I would be happy to help. You can place your order through my website anytime! www.jeannabohanon.stampinup.net
Hope you have a great day - now go create something!
