Happy Blog Hop Friday!

Happy Friday!!!! Do you love Fridays as much as I do? I LOVE seeing all the fun projects created by the MDS Blog Hop team. Sometimes I still have to pinch myself to think I am included in such a talented group of designers!

This week we were issued a color challenge. Pear Pizzaz, Night of Navy, Basic Gray, Melon Mambo and Whisper White. I cheated a little. Throwing Melon Mambo in there really got me - so I ended up using Very Vanilla instead so that I could use the great paper from the Hello Baby Ensemble. I love polka dots!!!!

 Anyhow, I came up with something that I am not totally embarassed to show you :) While I don't think it is my usual style, I think it works. ALSO - I would LOVE to see what you come up with! Here is my challenge to YOU. Create something with this color combo and post it to www.mydigitalstudio.net It would be so fun to see a bunch of samples!!!

Catalog Inspiration - MDS Blog Hop

Hi everyone!!! Happy Spring!!

I am excited about this week's blog post for a few reasons. One, because I really love finding inspiration from where I originally found it when I started creating with Stampin' Up! - the CATALOG. I love looking through the catalogs and getting great ideas. When I saw this one on page 21 of the Occassions mini catalog, I knew it would be perfect for the other reason I am so excited about my blog post - my new baby niece! I love the bright colors and fun style layout!

Almost every part of this page came from the Spring Fever Digital Kit. I did add, Lucky Limeade Digital Baker's Twine, Some Rhinetones and I used the Simple Letters Digital Alphabet punch (funny, when I first looked at the layout in the catalog, I thought they were Chocolate Chip or Early Espresso, but they are Basic Gray

Feelin' a little Irish!

So, part of me wants to apologize for this page, and the other part feels like it's perfect - at least for the subject. This week we were challenged to use green...I did. Maybe just not as creatively as I could have. However - this page is PERFECT for my son. I kept trying to change it and it just didn't feel right. Besides - not EVERY page needs to be a masterpiece...sometimes we just need quick, easy and to the point...I think Ethan himself would agree, this page is perfect for him.

Sorry so short, I am a little distracted. I became an Auntie again yesterday !!!

MDS Blog Hop - The Queen has issued a challenge!

LOL! (She's going to be mad at me for that) Anyhow - the "Queen" of My Digital Studio (at least in my mind) chose the challenge this week and it was a bit of a challenge. I love when we have sketch challenges, because I think more than anything, they really push me outside of my comfort zone. This fun layout really did.

With the release of the "On the Go" kit (item #129360 only $9.95 if you order through me ) AND my "BABY" Boy that just turned 2 last week getting a shiny new Red tricycle for his birthday, I thought that the 3 would come together perfectly. I love this new kit, it is so perfect for anyone that has a little boy in their life.

I made the "turned arrow" by streching one pennant punch (a LOT) and then pacing an arrow on top of it at the bottom. I matched up the designer papers, then "covered" the part of the stretched out pennant that extended below the arrow with a square punch.

Here is my take on the sketch. Would love to know what you think!

A Very Sesame Birthday!

Hi there! A mid-week post! How exciting. I haven't posted much lately, because my life has been very busy. (Lame excuse I know....) I wanted to share some fun photos of the birthday party I just threw for my handsome little man, Tanner, who just turned 2!

I had a BLAST putting this party together, even though it was the 3rd party I put together in 4 weeks. I'll share those other ones soon :)

Look to the Hop for Inspiration

This week we were challenged to find inspiration for our project from another one of our blog hoppers...how on earth would I choose? I looked through each and every one of the hoppers blogs for pages and pages and found inspiration after inspiration. I mean after all - most of these ladies are the ones I have looked to for such a long time as my "MDS IDOLS"!!!!

So I kind of just closed my eyes and pointed and landed on the very talented Holly VanDyne. I actually saw this really cute card

I LOVED the bright colors and the pop of black! I was wondering if I would be able to translate it into a scrapbook page. Then there was another challenge.... I think of flowers and I think of GIRLS. Well, there's kind of a shortage of girls in this house....hmmmmmm - what to do? AHA!!! Find a photo or two of my beautiful niece, Sarah. So without further ado.....

I would love to know if you think I did Holly proud.... Holly - what do you think?
