Finally Friday - MDS Blog Hop, Pinterest-Inspiration

Hi there! Happy Friday.

I am surviving this week, although it has been rather crazy. I did however manage to complete my page for this week. I had to start over when it was almost done because I forgot to save it and my computer did a restart - UGH! Anyhow, I found a page that was pretty far out of my comfort zone on my talented friend Erica Cerwin's board....I can always count onher for great inspiration!( I now have it pinned to MY scrapbook/digi layouts board)

I LOVE how it turned out. I used SO many supplies on this one, I am only going to list most of them this week instead of the cute pictures (Sorry...little man's baptism/8th birthday party is REALLY important!!!)

Whew! So much to do, so little time!

Ok, so I guess it might read today - I've been a crappy blogger....

We've been keeping a very packed/tight schedule since school started (it's making me pretty crazy actually - I NEED downtime to function with the Fibro issues) , and there isn't a lot of room for extras. SO for this week to include hubby buying a new truck, us signing final paperwork on our house, meetings for our oldest to get everything ready for his baptism on Saturday, taking him to the store to get his very own set of scriptures, and trying to get the house ready for guests and a party!!! YIKES! I have definitely bitten off more than I can chew. I might not be able to walk on Monday...

That being said, I am kind of enjoying it. For now.... BUT, I am trying to get my page done for this Friday's blog hop. I had it almost done and forgot to save it and my computer decided to restart for updates! URGH! Anyhow, I think it's kind of cute - I hope you will too!

I will be posting a new sign-up special in October....just a heads up :)

 

Founder's Circle Swap Cards from Jill Olsen's St George Stamping Event

It was so fun to look over the cards that the Founder's Circle acheivers swapped just a few weeks ago. They were challenged to do only 2 layers. Some took the challenge beautifully, others bent the rules, and I think some just outright said, "forget it". They were awesome. My favorite part was when I looked at all of them (over 100) and was able to pick out my talented up-line's card. I love her to pieces and knew I would be able to - I did on the first try!

Back from Jill Olsen's St. George Stampin Event

 WOW! What a FUN weekend! It was busy and completely wiped me out once I got home, but I had a blast while I was there. I started Friday night out by teaching 22 other wonderful ladies some of the features of MDS2. COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT without the Help of my good friends, and seriously talented ones at that, Erica Shaw and Julie Davidse!

It was a late night, with a stop at Kneaders with Julie and then finishing swaps with my sweet, sweet friend Rachelle. It was fun to just hang out with a friend and stamp and assemble my cards. Not to mention, she and her dad are hilarious! I loved Friday night! I'd show you my swaps, but y'all have already seen them on here.....

 Saturday morning started early with set up, and SWAPPING. A few friends from Vegas came up that morning, and I saw a lot of my "stampin event" friends too. It was a day packed with stamping and learning. I have so much to share with you.

MDS Blog Hop Friday - let's color those stamps!

Hey there!! Happy Blog Hop Friday!!!!

This week's theme is to use multiple images on a stamp. I have to say, I have been so so so crazy busy this week, there has been no time to play, SO, I am going to share a project with you that I had previously shared on www.mydigitalstudio.net . I am sure y'all might have had one of these weeks before, so I am hoping you'll understand. Hopefully soon I will be able to get back in here and add a shopping list for you, but for now, you'll just have to settle for this!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Projects - September - Part 4

Hi Y'all! Welcome back...Is it really already Thursday?!?!

You know I couldn't do this without doing a little MDS - RIGHT? Gotta stay true to my roots and all.... Hee hee

I LOVE this cute little bat/owl guy in the Monster Munchies set. Isn't he ADORABLE? He's so cute that I wanted my very own background paper with him :) So I copied him over, and over and over and over...then I had to color one of him in to make him stand out! One of my fave features of MDS2 is the ability to color stamps! So I made the word PARTY polka dotted (told you I liked polkie-dots)

I ALSO created this card, after being inspired by my feloow Artisan, Erica Cerwin when she posted a Friday Mash-Up card....

This Orchard Harvest Designer Paper is just too yummy!!!! I have been wanting to try the whole starburst technique and thought it was a great way to showcase all the fun patterns. I also used the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Brush set for the apple and sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Projects - September - Part 3

Hey Hey Y'all! Welcome back, Happy Wednesday!

So, I guess this might have gone better last month with all the new In-Color goodies that we received, but this month Stampin' Up! also sent me a package of Jumbo Sticky Rounds. I've seen some of the CUTEST flowers made with them, and I wanted to try my hand at one!

I found a cute little burlap (aka TRENDY) little zipper clutch (also trendy) in the dollar spot at a certain store :)  I figured that since we can all get this ribbon FREE this month with a $40 order, I'd USE IT!!!! WooHoo!!!

Here is a close up of the flower, it was pretty easy - no actually it was REALLY easy. I tied a little know in the end of the ribbon, then I twisted it around and around and just stuck it down on the super sticky little circle...

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Projects - September - Part 2

Hey!!!! You're back!!! That is awesome. Thank you.

I had to laugh at myself for this card. Stampin' Up! sends me a box full of stuff that is practically screaming FALL, and THIS is what comes out of my brain???? In all honesty, I was LOOKING for ways to showcase the versatility of this Howlstooth and Scaringbone paper, and I fell in love with the gray polka dot. I have a thing for polka dots (I get it from my grandpa). Well, I started to grab my Summer Starfruit and then I realized I did that last month... I really wanted to use the Border Banter set and the new Cotton Ribbon too......hmmmm - ok, let's go for a big Melon Mambo flower and Old Olive leaves....so even though I ADD'd a little, I LOVE how it turned out!

HA HA - I did that! Pink and Shimmery and Shiny and all! I loved covering my Melon Mambo flower in Silver Smmoch Spritz, and I kind of like the Glimmer Brad in the center too! I also sprayed some Smmoch Sprits on a sponge and sponged around the edges of the Designer Paper - although I'm not sure you can tell. I made the leaves by stamping them in Old Olive ink and cutting them out with a Heart Framelit. I snipped a little in the "innie" part of the heart, crossed it over a little to make a leaf shape, then I SQUISHED it! TA DAH!!! A leaf! Here is a close up of the flower....

So I did use quite a few things on this card, but I think it was worth it! It wasn't even really a complcated card to make, so don't let this list freak you out - ok?
