Hi there! Did you have a good weekend? My Birthday was Saturday and my hubby took me out for a wonderful dinner at Flemings Steakhouse. Flemings will always hold a special spot for me - I am guessing you might not remember why, but HERE is the reason :)
Have you ever been instantly drawn to a stamp set, even though it might not be your "typical style" ? That is how I felt about Feeling Sentimental. I love the vintage look of the images, even though I am not sure they are what I typically get.
So on this first card I wanted to give the Ferris Wheel a watercolored look and I wanted to use a variety of colors to evoke the feel of a carnival. I colored the stamp with markers then spritzed it with water.
I love the lines in the phone booth, so I tried to recreate that feel in the Real Red layer by using the Simply Scored tool to create my own embossed pattern.
I have two more samples featuring this set to share with you tomorrow also! I love free stamp sets.. don't you?
Absolutely LOVE what you have done with the ferris wheel! Must give this technique a try with this image. TFS
