Artisan Wednesday Wow - I'm just Me

Welcome back! This week has gone by SO quickly for me! I can hardly believe it's time for another hop. Maybe you joined in the hop from Jane Lee's blog, maybe you are just joining us, either way - you should make sure you visit all ten of us today - there are some GORGEOUS projects!

Anyhow, I really debated submitting this scrapbook page for the Stampin' Up! Facebook project because, well, it's kind of personal. The reason I chose to, is simply because I know so many of us forget to scrap about ourselves, and sometimes it's HARD! This wasn't easy for me - and honestly, I could have probably added a lot more words - but these were the ones on my mind.

The papers are from the Sunshine and Sprinkles Collection and I LOVE THEM!This is a pretty simple layout. Here is a full list of the supplies I used-

MDS Blog Hop - What I'm working on - April

So it has been an intersting week here in our home (In case you didn't read about it - you can HERE) Well, I've had some wonderful friends bring me dinners and offer to help with kiddos and such. Being as I am still a little "down", I thought one nice way to show my appreciation woud be to create something for them. The Momma of these three darlings brought us a yummy pasta dinner one night, so this is what I came up with for her....

Such adorable kids! Isn't this a fun photo idea too? I believe the photos were taken by Tesher Diamond Designs photography in Las Vegas. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the red corduroy buttons - they are so FUN!

Artisan Wednesday Wow - Sweet Girls

Welcome back friends!!! How has your week been? Good I hope. It's been an interesting one here, that's for sure! (You can read about it HERE) Are you just joining us, or did you just come from Jane Lee's Blog? I was SO excited to be able to hang out with her last weekend at the Stampin' Up! Regional event - she is so awesome!

Here is my last project for the month using the Sunshine and Sprinkles kit. These are my cute little neighbor girls. They are just the sweetest!

Aren't they adorable? I especially love Miss Sassy (number 3) LOVE HER! The photographs were taken by the talented Erin Fonnesback - a photographer in the Las Vegas area.

Now I know you might be thinking that this doesn't really look like Sunshine and Sprinkles, but it IS! The Melon Mambo background is a given, but the polka dot pattern is also in the Sunshine and Sprinkles kit - I just recolored it from all the fun, bright colors to match the browns in the photos! FUN! The "Sweetness" stamp is also from the kit. I love being able to tweak my supplies in MDS. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment!

what are you waiting for?

Noticed anything different lately?

 Have you maybe been wondering where I've been? How come I haven't been posting as often? Well, I admit that starting mid month last month, my life got kind of crazy. There was quite abit of family craziness going on, and Little League started - and then most recently THIS -

Within 3 days of each other my husband and I both ended up with crutches. He tore ligaments in his knee (waiting for MRI, but doc is fairly confident he tore his ACL and MCL) and I broke a bone in my foot. Needless to say it has been CRAZY around here - with 3 little boys - it's not good to have Mom and Dad both down.

So please, please, please bear with me over the next few weeks as things get worked out.

The Sunshine and Sprinkles suite was one of the first things to catch my eye in the Ocassions catalog. I LOVE the cute images and bright colors. The paper is just YUMMY! Of course I was really excited to see a collection for MDS!

Every other month Stampin' Up! Demonstrators receive a magazine FULL of ideas and inspiration. I saw some adorable layouts and HAD to CASE them using the Sunshine and Sprinkles kit - what do you think?

 

I love, love, love creating with MDS! I hope that these inspire you to play a little with your MDS program (If you don't have it, let me know and I will help you).

Artisan Wednesday Wow - Pinwheel Wishes

Hi Welcome Back!!!! Hope you are enjoying the blog hop so far if you've come from Jane Lee's blog, but if you are just joining us, then welcome!

This box of Artisan supplies we received this month was one of my favorites! I had been crossing my fingers to receive these ADORABLE products... that's why when I needed a card for this cutie's 1st birthday (my niece), I knew right away what I wanted to do!

So here is the card this sweetheart received -

Isn't it FUN???? Here are a few photos of how I made it -

can you see the Clouds embossed?

then I used my watercolor brush and some reinker...

Ta-Dah!

After I cut out my little pinwheel from the die, I kind of curled up the corners to make it easier to put the brad through....

oh - I used my paper-piercer-pokie-thingie to get all the little holes lined up too! THEN I added the glimmer brad.

After I colored my little skewer piece with my marker, I made sure it would be attached for eternity with Crystal Effects (this stuff is seriously like that strong)

ohhh.... love this stamp, love my markers

a little shimmer on the flame.....

TaDah!!!!

Welcome Back! Thanks for joining us - you may have come from Jane's blog today - can you believe how talented that girl is? I LOVE her project!

I am excited to share this project with you today. I remember learning how to make these fun little boxes when I first started stamping. When I saw the cute Print Poetry papers, I thought it might be fun to see if I could create a mini version of the boxes I used to make.... it took a little figuring, but I did it! Take a peek -

Here is what the box looks like open - and here is a picture of it all closed up

Cute, right? Don't let this fool you - it's TINY!!! I got a lot of questions on Facebook about how this was made, so I decided to write up a tutorial for you! TAKE A LOOK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS!!!  It's coming, soon, I promise, my computer is giving me some serious trouble, but it's almost ready!
