Here is my project for today - a fun little card that I meant to be just MDS, but ended up hybriding it!

This was a FUN card to make! I love the cute little images. I've been very busy working in MDS lately and I am loving it!

MDS Blog Hop - What I'm working on - May

HI!!! Welcome back! Glad you could join us for this week's MDS Blog Hop. This is one of those weeks that we are sharing with you a variety of MDS projects - kind of whatever we each  might be working on. Honestly, I have been working on a ton - just nothing I can share with you yet! I'm sorry for the tease. One thing I have started playing around with is my swap cards for Convention! I know it sounds early, but I have so much coming up - I have to get a head somewhere!

Now, this may or may not be a design that makes it. But I would love to know what you think about it. Would you like to receive this card at Convention?

 It uses the Digital Exclusive kit that was released last week (May 14) You Are So Nice . There are some fun papers, stamps and embellishments in this one - and there is even the FREE coordinating little backpack download - Packed For You.

Artisan Wednesday Wow - One for Him and one for Her

 

Hi there, Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a great week, it has been a busy one around here! Did you join is from Jane's Blog, or are you just jumping in? Either way, I hope you'll take a few minutes and hop all the way around.

This week I have two cards for you - one for her and one for him :)  First let me share with you the "her" card. I used the Best of Flowers Stamp Set and the Amazing Family set. It's a simple layout and one I like to rely on when I want to focus on a smaller image. I stamped the flowers in Early Espresso on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and sponged Summer Starfruit and Calypso Coral to fill in the flowers. After that, I cut them out, adhered them to the card and used the Natural Designer Buttons for the centers. The Friend is embossed with Early Espresso Embossing Powder

 

and I was also playing with the Dapper Dad set and wanted a mix of a very simple card with an extra special element to it, so I went a little nuts on the shoe and kept the rest of the card simple.

I guess it might have something to do with is going on in my life at that time, I'm not sure. One thing I do know, was that THIS week, I was VERY excited about the downloads! I know I warned you last week that this box was definitely not an easy one for me. This card is a very different look from what I usually create - so I hope you like it!

I think it feels a little more like what Jane might create....LOL although her's would probably kick mine's booty! I stamped the Beyond Plaid randomly for the background and then on Whisper White to create the little banners....being as it's a "guy card" I didn't want to add too much to it. My hubby said it was good - no need to girlie it up by adding anything :)

 Sorry for a short post today - tons and tons going on!

Artisan Wednesday Wow - Amazing Mother

Hi everyone! Welcome back! I know I have only been posting on Wednesdays lately, hopefully that will change soon, although we did find out hubby has to have surgery on the 24th, so that might put a kink in things!

 This month we received a few different stamp sets, some custom color pallettes and some fun accessories. However, I will say I am not sure that they are in my comfort zone, so I hope I can create some projects that you will like. This card is being sent in the mail TODAY.... to a seriously amazing woman!

 

I really like the antique look to this. Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso always make for a beautiful, calm, vintage look. I stamped the Hydrangea from Best of Flowers (March - Best Od set) in Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake layer in the lower left corner, then stamped it multiple times on Very Vanilla. After adding some shading with my Blender Pen, I carefully cut out each one. Several of them are adhered directly to the card and others are popped up on a dimensional. I embossed the Sentiment in Early Espresso Embossing Powder. I was thrilled when I realized I could add both stamps to the same block and stamp it all at once. A touch of crochet ribbon and a Natural Designer Button tied with a snippet of Linen Thread and there you go!

Best thing about sending a card to your Mom is that she is always going to love it no matter what!
