My 2013 Artisan Design Team Entries - Day 1

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell I am just a little bit excited! I am so happy to be on the team again this year! Once again, this is a great team and I am looking forward to all the fun and creativity this year!

So, for the next 10 days, we will be sharing the 10 projects that earned us a spot in the Artisan Design Team. I hope you'll join us for TONS of inspiration!

I thought I would share my cards with you first - so let's get started -

Ok, so this is the first card I created for the contest and I LOVE it! It is a 5x7 card and  I colored each umbrella in MDS, adding lots of little details, then created this fun pattern. Let me give you a closer look at some of the details....

I had 2 of these cards printed so that I could cut out some of the umbrellas and add some dimension...I love our Stampin' Dimensionals and went through PACKS of them with my entire entry this year! What you really can't see very well in the photos is that EVERY umbrealla has some details highlighted with Crystal Effects. I used a toothpick (yes, seriously) to add tiny little touches to them!

TIP Have fun "hybriding". You'll see that I did a LOT of it this year. An easy way is to order 2 or more of your project, and then use one to cut apart and pop up elements with .

What do you think? It's a pretty fun card, right? Definitely perfect for a special person!

Artisan Wednesday Wow - Thank you so much for a wonderful year!

Thank you so much for joining us for the last official 2012 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. AHHHH - I can't believe I am saying that. What a wonderful, wonderful year. This year has pushed me in so many ways. I have grown both creatively and by the wonderful friendships that I have formed with these wonderful, wonderful women. I hope the friendships we have formed this year are lifelong -

I am GRATEFUL to tell you though that I will be continuing on the team this year! The 2013 team will actually be starting a 10 day blog hop starting on the 1st, featuring our submitted projects!!!! Then we will begin our weekly hops on the 13th! YAY! I do hope you will be joining us!

Today's project is the sweet project I made for the Stampin' Up! Facebook page. I started with the AWESOME new Tag a Bag Gift Boxes. I LOVE these! They are such a great size and so easy to decorate. Now - anyone that knows me - or that has read my blog for any length of time knows that I am just really not crazy about butterflies. Like AT ALL.... however there is one person in particular that I will do almost anything in for, so when I found out that she was going to be having a baby girl and I will be throwing her a purple and butterfly baby shower - I figured I'd just get into it now! LOL

The colors I chose were Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant - and I knew I wanted it to SPARKLE! I used the Butterfly Collection Jumbo Wheel with Versamark Ink on the outside and embossed it with Dazzling Diamonds. I also decided to line the box with Wisteria Wonder also stamped with the Butterfly Collection wheel. I created my own Elegant Eggplant ribbon with the Whisper White Taffeta and the ink pad. (Trust me - WEAR GLOVES! LOL)

Hello, Lovely Series.... samples for you, day 3

Hi There!!!

   I hope you are enjoying these projects featuring the Hello, Lovely set (130243). This really is a very versatile set - I LOVED seeing some of the other samples during our Convention last week. I'm finishing up my samples with a simple 3D project and scrapbook page.

 This is a simple little "bag-a-lope"

TIPS Arrows are SUPER trendy right now! Are you loving the trend?

 

Here is an 8x8 scrapbook page featuring my now 7 year little guy. I LOVE this pic of him - he has always been such a cutie!

COLOR COMBO Real Red, PumpkinPie, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White and Basic Black

TIP I stamped the image multiple times in each color, then cut them out and placed them in a random order to create the background

Another hot trend right now is to pair bold colors with a touch of black to make them pop.

Tomorrow I will take a break from posting set samples as it will be the last Blog Hop for the  2012 Artisan Design Team and THEN We begin the 2013 Design Team entries hop!!!! LOTS and LOTS of inspiration coming your way!

Hello, Lovely Series.... samples for you, day 2

Hi there!

 Hope you had a wonderful weekend. It was a pretty relaxing one here. I spent a little time working on samples with next months Artisan Design Team box. I am really excited about some of my projects!

 I've also been getting ready for my on-line SALE this afternoon on my Facebook Page (make sure you LIKE me! )

 Today I am sharing a few more samples with Hello, Lovely (130243) with you again.

COLOR COMBO Primrose Petals, Basic Gray, Whisper White and Summer Starfruit

TIPS I did not use a Stamp A Ma Jig to stamp the background, but you definitely could.

I used my markers in the above colors to ink the label stamp before punching it out with the Decorative Label Punch

COLOR COMBO Pool Party, Summer Starfruit, Basic Gray, Smokey Slate, Whisper White

TIPS To create the starburst, I placed the Pool Party and Summer Starfruit on top of each other and cut them at the same time. I embossed the panel with the Chevron Embossing Folder after adhering them to a piece of Whisper White

GOTTA HAVE ITS I am finding that whenever I need a "little something" on a card lately, I reach for Gorgeous Grunge (130517) - one of the best sets ever! I am also LOVING the Chevron Ribbon (131152)!

Hello, Lovely Series.... samples for you, day 1

Hi There!

Hope you are doing well today! Do you love seeing multiple samples from 1 stamp set? I know I do, it helps me decide if I want the set when I see it's versatility. Hello, Lovely (130243) was a set I received to create Convention samples with. At first I was a little unsure of the set, but once I started working with it - it kind of grew on me. Over the next few days I will be sharing cards, scrapbook pages and more, each featuring the same stamp sets....

COLOR COMBO Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse

TIP - To create the flagged end of the banners, I cut a little snip in the center of the strip and then just cut from the corner to the top of the snip. ALSO - I did not use a Stamp A Ma Jig, but that would definitely give you a more precise pattern for your background.

TIP I stamped the image from Hello, Lovely then punched it out with the Mosaic punch to further my usage from both!

I have SO much to share with you

Hi there!

 I am so serious! I have so much to share with you it's not even FUNNY! I don't know where to start and I don't want to overwhelm you, so I will try to keep posts short and sweet.

 First of all, I have received a few messages asking, so I guess I better post it here - I am THRILLED, HONORED and HUMBLED to let you know that I will once again be on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team. I was so grateful that my husband was by my side when I found out. Here we are by my display board....

I am so excited to be a part of this fun and talented group. It is hard for me to imagine not having some of this year's team members along with me as they have grown to be like sisters, and I am definitely better for having them in my life.We still have one more Blog Hop for you next Wednesday though!!!

My box full of supplies to create my August projects arrived yesterday, and I am going to have so much fun with it! Look for us to begin posting the second week of August I believe.

 I am grateful that I have had the support of my friends, family and wonderful Stampin' Up! team. MDS Blog Hop - What I'm working on - July

Hi there! Welcome back to the MDS Hop! I hope you have been enjouing everyone's projects so far. I am excited to announce that Julie Davidse is guest blogging with us this month and will soon be joining our group. We are also planning some fun new changes to the hop to make it a better experience for YOU!

This is one of our "What we're working on" weeks. Honestly, I have SO much going on and am SO far behind it's not even funny, BUT, I always need Birthday cards, and last week's downloads were so FUN, I let them inspire me
