Hi! Welcome Back!
So, what did you think of last week? AMAZING, right? I LOVE this Design Team!
Every Wednesday for the next year, the 2013 Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team will be bringing you FUN, new, exclusive projects - shared here on our blogs. Are you looking forward to it as much as we are???? I know we sure hope so! Maybe you just came from Jane's blog - that girl ROCKS! If not, make sure you follow the hop all the way around to check out all 10 projects!
My idea for this "scary" little banner was for it to go on maybe my bookshelf, or over a mirror - maybe in the bathroom. It's not very big, but it has a LOT of personality!
I cut my Chevron Ribbon vertically so it would be thinner and fray a little - I LOVE the way it looks with this. I also love the little Washi tape flags. The ovals with the letters were stamped with the Dictionary stamp and the ABC-123 Sketch alphabet.
OK - NEW FEATURE TIME!!!!!!!
HIS AND HERS STAMPING
The other day before I left to run an errand, my husband told me he wanted to stamp!!!! So I told him to go for it. When I came home, he had created this all by himself!
He cut out the label by hand ( he wasn't sure where to find the right punch), the center of it was carefully punched out too - and the skull was cut out and on dimensionals. Those are rhinestones in the eyes too - all his idea. Not too shabby, huh?
I asked him if he would be ok with me using it as an "inspiration piece", a "jumping off point" to create a Wednesday project. He said he thought it was a great idea. I assured him that it wasn't to "show him up" or discount his idea or anything like that - he was SO EXCITED about the idea. Here is what I came up with....
Here is some up close detail for ya - of course I had to add a LOT more - Houndstooth embossing folder, 3 tone sponging, black embossing powder, ribbon and more rhinestones!
and here we are - Side by Side!
What do you think????? He is SO EXCITED about this post and is looking forward to reading all the comments. I think it would be fun to do this EVERY month!
COLOR COMBO - Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
TIP - Black embossing powder will "step up" almost any project!
Hope you enjoy all of the AMAZING projects that the rest of the team has for you today. These are some special projects, so please let the team know what you think!
Hope you have a great day!!!

What a cute banner! It's perfect for a bookcase or a mirror! I think your husband did a fantastic job on his card! I think it's great that he wanted to stamp and had an idea all of his own! I agree- it would be fun to make it a monthly event! I'd love to see what else he comes up with! Looking forward to seeing the next "his and her" stamping post!

I see a little competition here & a future SU consultant. Hubby did a fine job & your card is the "step-up" version that amazes me.

Love your husband's creation. I think it is wonderful and definitely worth CASE-ing! I think the His & Hers stamping idea is great and will look forward to seeing more. I also love the banner you posted on this entry. I have been on the fence about the banner trend, but this one is small enough that I love it!!! Thank you for sharing!

How fabulous that your husband was interested enough to get inky! That's a great card, and if you gave me hours with the same supplies, I don't think I'd be able to come up with something that cute...oops, not cute, sorry. It's WOW!
