Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am currently stuck on the couch, with my foot propped up. I went to the Orthopedic doc today for my foot. I've had pain for a while, but I've been putting it off. I finally couldn't take it anymore. After x-rays and exam I apparently have bone marrow inflammation in multiple areas, plantar fasciitis, and a Morton's neuroma. UGH! Foot up means one thing to me though.... MDS TIME! To get me through today I decided to head over to the MDS Monday Blog and check out their latest card sketch.
Cute, right? I instantly fell in love with the new Endless Birthday Wishes Kit that was released this week, so why not use it for this fun sketch! I might have gone a little overboard with it, but I think it is as fun as can be!
SEE!?! Fun, right?!?! I love the colors and fun patterns. Now I know I used 5 banners instead of 4, but sketches are meant to give you a starting point, inspiration.....
TIPS:
1. Custom "DSP" I used the dot stamp that is in the kit and used copy and paste to create the fun gray and white paper. Once you have a few stamps lined up, GROUP them, then copy and paste the group - makes things go a lot faster.
2. An added challenge was to recolor an embellishment. I recolored the tiny little Rhinestones on the candles and the stitching behind the circle embellishment.
3. Overlay stamp brushed might be one of my favorite things in MDS. I love the TEXTURE you can acheive. I used one on the far left. See that added little touch of interest?
4. I used the Freehand tool to color in the cake....YUM
I can't wait to share it over on their blog - hope they like it! What do you think?
Hope you have a great day!!!
love it Jeanna! so cute, love those teeny tiny rhinestones and the stitching behind the cake!! thanks for sharing with us at MDS Monday!!
