Happy Monday(ish) Everyone! I hope your weekend was restful and fun. Today I’m participating in a Creative Blog Hop which is a little different then my usual posts.
I was tagged by Diane Squires to be a part of this hop. She’s a an absolute sweetheart that I met almost 2 years ago at Leadership in Orlando Florida. She is such a genuine, loving person with an amazing smile. You'll have to give her blog a visit, you won't be disappointed.
What am I working on now? Well, the main reason that this post is "Monday-ish" was that that on top of my dislocated knee, I managed to break my toe last week and had a very sick 4 year old on my hands....PLUS I just finished a WONDERFUL all-day stamping event, with some of the most awesome ladies! ALL of my attention was focused on making that day super special for them. I don't have "great" photos of the projects, but here are a few....
(tikes, those are NOT good photos - I'll work on that!)
How does my work differ from others in my genre? Hmm, not sure! LOL - Serving on the 2012 and 2013 Artisan Design Teams for Stampin' Up! really pushed me outside of my box to create lots of different styles. I would say the one thing that I excel at is defintely creating with MDS - my favorite thing to do in MDS is to create 3D projects - like these that I entered to earn those Design Team spots -
Why do I create what I do? I've ALWAYS created. I've drawn, I've written, I've crocheted, I've done cross-stitch. I can't imagine NOT creating something. I think short of my family, it's my driving force. I LOVE to create - with paper and stamps, or digitally, I love to design. I also love being able to share pretty things with others...
How does my creative process go? Well, for so longed it always seemed like I had to create something FOR something, so I got really used to starting with a stamp set (or MDS kit) that I needed to focus on. Then it went from there - usually to a Designer Paper. I TRY not to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) too often, as I like being able to showcase my original work for my blog readers, HOWEVER, a lot of times for classes I am in a time crunch - so then it is CASE-CITY!
Tag You’re It! Now it’s time for me to tag the next blogger and I have tagged friend and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Jennifer Timko. I had the honor of serving on the Artisan Team last year with this AMAZING woman. She is not only gorgeous and talented with her stamps, but a Veteran and current commercial airline pilot! That makes her pretty amazing in my eyes. She is one of the kindest ladies that I know and I would love it if you would stop by her blog next Monday, November 24th when she posts her answers and reveals her tag to keep the Creative Blog going!
Thanks for sharing your creative thoughts with us! I love all of your projects! I wish you were going to be in Orlando with us again this time. We are going to miss you!
