Hi everyone!!! Happy Monday! Hope you had a good weekend. Mine was BUSY!!! I'm guessing some of you might have had those as well.
This is a post for a Creative Blog Hop!! I was nominated by the not only talented, but super friendly, funny and all around amazing Stampin' Stud himself, Mr. James Weber. I can say these things because I have heard about how wonderful he is for the last 2 years or so because he's married to my beautiful friend, Mercedes Weber. They both have awesome blogs, so you should check them out. Now this hop is a little different. Almost a "chain letter" of sorts, and at the end of this post, I'll let you know who is going to carry it on....
I created this ensemble of projects to demonstrate at an event in St. George earlier this month, so it's about time I finally post them, right??? There is a LOT of photos, and this post is LONG, but I hope you think it's worth it. Besides, you know you want to know who is next still....
Here is a gusseted style bag made with the Thinlit...
Here's how to do it!
There are SO MANY Thinlits and possibilities in this one!
I even used two of the small ones to make this bookmark sleeve...
By far my FAVORITEST project with it yet!!!! Don't squeal too loudly, it's ADORABLE....
See, talk about versatility. The "tab" is even a die! The only thing I used on this that wasn't a die was the ribbon and the Simply Pressed Clay and mold.
Don't you want to fill it up with sweet photos and sentiments?!?!?
Ok, so now there is another part to this post - a more PERSONAL SIDE so to speak....
1. WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW? Besides preparing for a class, I am trying to get caught up on my MDS pages so that I can get them printed before it goes away... I know, I am so sad :(
2. HOW DOES YOUR WORK DIFFER FROM OTHERS IN YOUR GENRE? I;m not sure! LOL, I used to have a strong focus on the MDS designing, but being on the Artisan Design Team for 2012 and 2013 really pushed me to explore lots of different sides to my creativity.
3. WHY DO YOU CREATE WHAT YOU DO? As much as I would love to be able to just create on a whim, I am usually creating to fill a need. Either for classes or a gift, or with a certain recipient in mind. I am not sure I could really be ME though if I didn't create...It does bring a nice balance to this house full of boys :)
4. HOW DOES YOUR CREATIVITY WORK? I do like to look at items, be it a stamp set or a Designer Paper Collection and see the "what else?" in it. I am a very messy creator, and I find my inspiration EVERYWHERE. I used to look for inspiration on line in other blogs or on Pinterest, but now it's usually looking closer to home so to speak as I am finding I have less and less time to spend on line...
OMG, SEE???? I told you it was a LONG ONE!!! Ok, so now, next Monday there will be the next installment of the Creative Blog Hop and it's being brought to you by my very dear, very talented friend, Julie Davidse!!!
Here are most of the products I used on today's projects, just click on them to order!
