Hi friends!
This post is one of the hardest I think I've ever written. I NEVER wanted to write it. From the moment MDS was launched, I have LOVED it. Sure it was a little hard to use it in the beginning, but I knew I wanted an easy way to create fabulous pages for my memories and MDS was the perfect answer. (Darn it! I'm crying already)
This week we are supposed to be sharing our favorite download. Mine is by far Downtown Grunge. I use it on almost every page, I swear.... I did use it on this page as well. However, I am having major, major computer issues and can't access my MDS right now, so instead I am showing you my all time favorite page I've ever created.
(Big Top Birthday and Downtown Grunge)
I created this page for the first MDS contest I entered and I really feel it "launched me" so to speak. It gave me a confidence in my creative abilities that along with my sweet friend Holly VanDyne's encouragement allowed me to push myself into entering and earning spots on the 2012 and 2013 Artisan Design Teams.
I have so many wonderful memories associated with MDS, and it's so hard to say goodbye. The next few days I want to share a few of my other favorite projects, even if you have seen them before - hopefully they will still inspire you.
I want to thank so many friends that have inspired and encouraged me in my MDS journey along the way, including (but definitely not limited to)my Mom, Erica Shaw, Julie Davidse, Holly VanDyne, Amber Meadows, Cori Kozak, Cindy Schuster, Tami Hewlett, Yapha Mason, Anita, Rochelle,Tara, Holly, Beth, Wendy Waldman, Kim VanDiepen, and of course, my lovely and talented friend Heather Summers.I want to thank the MDS team at Stampin' Up! that worked so hard to bring us such a great product. Especially Holly, Lindsey, Andrea and Tanner who were so encouraging.
I also want to thank my awesome husband who has spent many long hours behind the wheel on road trips so that I could be working on MDS creations, who knew that it was a good time to watch a guy movie (I'd sit next to him and create), and constantly encouraged me and gave me a shoulder to cry on when things weren't coming along the way that I wanted them to.
Please show your support and play along with this week's challenge if you can!
- Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
- Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the challenge graphic above within your post.
- Link directly to your post or mydigitalstudio.net sample page for this challenge, not your entire website (So we can find your project)
- You can create a card, scrapbook page or 3-D object with the sketch.
- The Challenge will end on Saturday May 30th @ 12pm EST.
- Have fun!
My Dear Friend Jeanna, you have such a beautiful way of saying things, combining them with photos and creating the most beautiful pages and projects. I'm totally honored for you to put my name in line with some absolutely amazingly talented people. I'm so glad Holly encouraged you to share your incredible talent! I know that MDS will always be part of my life, in so many ways. I love your sweet layout and look forward to re-visiting your pages this week. Hugs to you!
