Hey, Hey!!! Happy Friday!!!
I really want to share with you all that I am thankful for, but you'd probably leave because my list would be so long. Of course I wake up every morning with a heart of gratitude to my Heavenly Father for my family, my health, my friends - and the "usuals". However, there is so much more. One thing I am extremely grateful for is this right here. My business, my blog, the artistic abilities that the Lord decided should be one of my talents, my customers, my FRIENDS.
One of those friends is Mercedes Weber. You know, that awesome chick that organizes this hop. Let me tell you if you don't already know, she is one of the most amazing women I have ever met, and I really do aspire to be more like her. She is just as beautiful, if not more on the inside than outside (and that's saying something because she is stunning!)She is a loving wife and mom, a woman of strong faith, a strong yet gentle woman. She is talented beyond measure and has a heart bigger than Texas. She is always there with a kind word or thought. She is supportive and giving and well - you get the idea, I could go on and on how much I love her and how grateful I am to have her as a friend.
This week the team has this great inspiration for you. Just use this theme as a starting point - no real rules...

Here is what I created for it:
I almost ALWAYS do standard-sized cards. I don't know why....but this time I wanted something a little different. A simple 4" card that I could easily slip to someone I want to show gratitude to.
The base is Soft Suede with a layer of Water Color paper. I used the leaf stamp from the Perpetual Calendar set. I sprayed the paper with water, then stamped the image in Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Always Artichoke. Then I spritzed a little more. After making sure it was good and dry, I embossed the Thankful (Hostess Set) in Gold Embossing Powder. A few spritzes of watered down glue topped with more embossing powder complete the look.
I really hope that you'll play along with our challenge. Make sure to link up over at #TGIFC this week and show us what you got.
