I am so excited!!!! Y'all knocked it out of the park last week, and it was so fun to see all the Birthday cards y'all created for us. THANK YOU! I mean it. I love that you play along, I love that you post, I love that you find some inspiration in our creations. THANK YOU.
This month we have changed up our last challenge of the month a bit. Instead of doing a "mix-up", we will now be looking at all of the cards submitted for the month's challenges, both by the team and YOU - the ones that y'all submit and using them as inspiration! FUN, right?!?!?!
Well, I chose to be inspired by a lady who has inspired me for years. The fabulous Mercedes Weber herself....Not only does she inspire me as an artist, she inspires me in SO MANY WAYS. She is a dedicated, loving, giving mother, wife and friend. She can always bring a smile to my face, and I am SO extremely grateful to call her my friend. She makes me want to be a better person. It only seemed right I would choose one of her cards as my first "Pick Your Favorite"
Here is the card I chose as my inspiration -
Totally GORGEOUS (like everything she creates). I loved the basic layout, and colors, and chose to use that as a starting point. Here is what I came up with.
I really wanted to use my fun new stamp set Marquee Messages. It will be a MUST HAVE set from the upcoming 2016 Stampin' Up! Catalog!!!! I love the versatile sayings and fun style with it. I really plan on showcasing this one!!! As you can see, I added just enough folded ruffling at the bottom to give it that Mercedes touch. The image itself is paper pieces in Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, and Watermelon Wonder. I added some details with my Wink of Stella Pen and the White Gel Pen! If you love the Mint Macaron and Black twine, make sure you order it now before it goes away :(
Don't forget -
SHOP NOW!!!! (click on that to go shop!)
P.S. I am sending out a THANK YOU GIFT for everyone who places and order of $50 or more and uses Hostess Code 7NJF9WVE
LOVE Y'ALL!! Hope you have a great week and I hope to see YOUR #TGIF inspired project on the #TGIF Challenges Blog this week!!!
