So normally this would be our Remix week but we decided to switch things up. Gotta keep ya on your toes! This new challenge is all about being inspired by everyone that has shared their creations with us this month.

 I LOVED this beautiful card created by one of our challengers - Julie Gearinger and being as I didn't participate in that week, it was PERFECT. I LOVED her bold, beautifully water-colored flower images, along with the pop of black. So here is what I came up with.

 

Fancy Friday Blog Hop #ImBringingThankYousBack

 Welcome back to Fancy Friday! 

Recently there has been an awesome social media movement started by the amazing Shannon West from Stampin' Up! - you might have heard of it #ImBringingBirthdaysBack - the premise is that social media has killed sending Birthday cards. I think it's totally true. However, what about Thank You cards?

 Well, this month, we here at Fancy Friday are BRINGING THEM BACK!!! Woo Hoo!!!

I made a handful of these (in seriously just a FEW minutes). I've been making an effort to send out more thank you cards, so these are going to be added to my stash!

 Ok, so I know I am torturing you with not only new colors, but new stamp sets. That's ok, really - there's only a few more days to wait until you can add these to YOUR order. Really, you must - Swirly Bird and these new In Colors are MUST, MUST haves! This set is SO FUN! I can't wait to share ALL the images in the set. You'll create TONS of projects with it.

#TGIFC56 Let's Hear It for the GUYS!

 I can't believe that I missed last week's sketch challenge :( I was SOOOO sick! I'm feeling better now though! I had SO much to catch up on though, so I really didn't need a week down! 

 I am glad that I got to play along with this week's challenge. You would think this one would be easy for me, but guess what - it WASN'T!!! I really had to THINK! LOL

Of course my mind went straight to baseball! But HOW? I have NOTHING current Stampin' Up! to work with....think Jeanna, think....

 Did you ever think that a "baby onesie" could be a baseball jersey? YUP! I did it - LOL. I just cut off the bottom part from the Baby First Framelits, used one of the Little Numbers Thinlits and the stamp is from Guy Greetings. The Chevron punch and the Numbers are RETIRING, so make sure you get them NOW!!!!

The best part about guy cards are that they can be SIMPLE!!!

TGIFC #54 Pool Party, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry - beautiful color combo

Been a busy, yet emotional week here. I am SO GLAD I was able to sneak a few minutes to create for this week's challenge. Creating seems to always help whenever I am stressed or emotional.

This week's challenge is a GORGEOUS and FUN color combo, so that made it easy for me

This color combo can be taken in SO many directions - I am excited to see what y'all come up with. Here is what I did... a nice clean and simple Congratulations card

I love Balloon Celebrations and I was thrilled to find out that the set and coordinating punch will be in the new catalog. Like I said, pretty clean and simple, so I added a little extra interest with Wink of Stella on the balloon and some clear star sequins. It turned out so pretty!

My OnStage Display Samples - Tip Top Taupe

HELLO!!!!

 I was so honored to be chosen as a "Display Stamper" for Stampin' Up!'s OnStage LIVE event in Salt Lake City earlier this month. There were about 30 of us and we were all asked to focus on our FABULOUS In-Colors. Some of us on the carry-over colors, and some of us on the new ones. I got to focus on the carry-over colors! Today is the last day of my posts and it's all about Tip Top Taupe. Despite this color being kind of a neutral, I had a hard time making it a focus. Here are my projects - tell me what you think...

I LOVE this soft color combo of Tip Top Taupe, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride and Pool Party. Do you see that lovely, striped ribbon? It's new, it's soft, shiny, and amazing - you should totally make sure it's on your list!

I know, there is a LOT of Marina Mist in this one, but I LOVE the way the custom "background paper" turned out.

Yay!!! The bears are staying! Red Glimmer Paper was the PERFECT addition for this fun card. I love that this stamp set has coordinating dies!!!

Tip Top Taupe Designer paper, Delightful Dijon ribbon and the awesome "Acorny Thank You" set made a QUICK little treat holder.I love these simple pouches.

Ok, all done! I should be back to my regular posting schedule on Friday with my TGIFC project. It is an AWESOME, super trendy color combo that you won't want to miss.

My OnStage Display Samples - Cucumber Crush

 I was so honored to be chosen as a "Display Stamper" for Stampin' Up!'s OnStage LIVE event in Salt Lake City earlier this month. There were about 30 of us and we were all asked to focus on our FABULOUS In-Colors. Some of us on the carry-over colors, and some of us on the new ones. I got to focus on the carry-over colors! I will be sharing all of my projects over this week, all focused on their main color! Today is all about CUCUMBER CRUSH! This is such a FUN green to work with!

I think it's no secret that I love to watercolor and I love You're Sublime. This made for a really fun pairing. Bermuda Bay is my fave color to pair with Cucumber Crush - and if you want one of these buttons, you better hurry and grab some before they are gone.

 

I know, I know - a butterfly again!!! I just thought that it was the perfect accent for this gift bag made with the Gift Bag Punch Board and the new Affectionately Yours collection Specialty Designer Paper.

This was a fun Project Life style page to create. I did add a few more personal notes on the bottom card for my personal book :) This color combo was almost identical, but this time I added Island Indigo!

 

Even though these sweet little bags are retiring, you can still stock up on them now. They make great little treats. Isn't this FUN?!?!? I hope someone feels really special when they receive it!

We Create Blog Hop - Step It Up May! Hexagon Love

 

Welcome back to our monthly Step It Up Hop! I love this hop because I think it reaches stampers on all experience levels. I love being able to showcase a project in multiple ways - I hope you like seeing the ideas.

 

This week I used the retiring set Six-Sided Sampler and coordinating Hexagon punch. Of all the cute little hexies, I LOVE the little plaid one the best :) If you don't have this yet, you can click on the photo below to go directly to my store and pick it up before it's gone.

 

Here is my simple version, it really only took a few minutes...

My color palette is:Flirty Flamingo, Peek-a-boo Peach, Delightful Dijon, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, and Wisteria Wonder and Basic Gray. Isn't it so cheery?!?!

 

My stepped up version isn't too different. I have been OBSESSED with white brick lately. Not sure if it's watching lots of episodes of Fixer-Upper, or the white brick from OnStage, but I LOVE IT... so I decided to add it for some fun texture.

 So all I really did was emboss the background, pop up the center sentiment and added some silver thread behind it. It adds a nice simple touch, I think. I really want to make a lot of these... they make me happy :)
