It's Fancy Friday Time! What techniques are up our sleeves???

Welcome back!!! It's FINALLY FRIDAY!!! Here in Nevada the kids are out of school for a state holiday, so we get a long weekend. YIPPEE!!! I better hide the candy from the Trunk-or-Treats or they will be bouncing off the walls and I might have to go in to hiding!

I was so excited when I saw this month's theme challenge for us. This month it's all about the Fancy Techniques! I really couldn't decide what to do, so I messaged a trustworthy friend and said, "Help, give me a technique to feature!!!" Her reply was Emboss Resist.

Essentially, when you do this technique, you heat emboss your image in white or clear powder, then apply your ink over the image. A lot of time I do this with a sponge, but today I wanted to watercolor!!! Then I went a step further and actually stamped the little leaf clusters OVER my embossed sentiment. I love the way it turned out - take a peek!

The card base is Bermuda Bay, and the colors I used for the water color wash are Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, and Pool Party. Isn't it LOVELY?

I washed over it all with my Wink of Stella for some shine, then added the Gold Embossed banner and a touch of Gold Thread for that finishing touch.

While this card might not be practical for everyone on your list, it sure makes a great card for a special someone or family.
