Welcome to this month's We Create Blog Hop - Step It Up! Every month we get together as a small group to share some fun ideas creating a "simple" project, and a "stepped-up" project. I love this theme and sharing with you every month.
I've been a busy girl with house projects, but I am still finding time to stamp! I recently participated in a card swap with other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, and it tends to be a really good quality, so I needed a "stepped-up" version.
The best place to start is with a simple design and layout, and then see where you can add to fancy it up a little...here is my simple one. It's a great card on it's own of course. Relatively quick, pretty simple and easy to make.
So, I liked the overall look of the card, but knew I wanted to add more interest, and definitely some RIBBON! Here's how just a few small changes transformed this card.
All I did was stamp the CRAZY-AWESOME, NEW, Tree Rings background stamp in Crumb Cake ink on the Crumb Cake Layer, darkened the centers of the flowers and add a small banner of the GORGEOUS Fresh-Fig Finely Woven Ribbon. What a difference!
Here is the list of supplies that I used. By clicking on the images below, you can the items directly to your cart so that you can create this card, and MANY other projects too!!! Please enter 2XUWASBT as your hostess code, and I will send you a special thank you gift! (U.S. only)

I love the Fresh Fig ribbon! The color is so rich! The tree rings background really adds so much to the overall look. Your sentiment fits perfectly in the Layering Ovals framelits. I can see how this framelit set could be really useful. I love the stitching around it. Beautiful cards!
