PCC265 Sketch Challenge - Stampin' Up! Sunshine Sayings and New Stampin' Blends

 Hi friends!

   Welcome back to my blog for your mid-week inspiration from Paper Craft Crew. This week is a sketch challenge for you! Well, maybe for us - I usually struggle with angles like this...

 Stampin' Up! has so many beautiful Designer Series Papers, and I almost used one (I mean they are on sale and everything!) but I thought it would be fun to make my own!

 I won't pretend that it was anywhere near as quick as using a stunning piece of Designer Series Paper would be, but it was so cool creating it with the soon to be released Stampin' Blends markers!

 These markers are a DREAM! I love how saturated and smooth the colors are! They aren't available quite yet, but I am so excited that they are definitely coming!

#tgifc130 A little Sweater Weather Inspiration - Stampin' Up! Count My Blessings and Seasonal Chums

Hi friends!!!

   Thank you so much for joining me again for your dose of Friday Inspiration with the TGIF Challenge Crew!!! I am so honored to be a part of this awesome team, and week after week they continue to blow me away!!!

 This week's challenge is all about crisp Fall nights. Sweater weather, bonfires, pumpkins, hayrides and more.

Fall is by far my favorite season, and there was SO much I could do, so much I wanted to do. Ultimately, coloring this beautiful pumpkin from Seasonal Chums (again, I KNOW, but it's so VERSATILE) with the great new Stampin' Blends markers from Stampin' Up! that will be coming out soon!!!

 I wanted the star of the card to be the sentiment and the pumpkin, so I kept the rest of the card pretty simple by adding a lot of texture with the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder.

 I stamped the pumpkin in Memento Ink (recommended for using with the Blends) on Very Vanilla Cardstock. I love the depth, dimension, and saturation that using these lovely alcohol markers give you! These could easily rival watercolor as my favorite way to add color to our images!!! YIKES!!! LOL

PCC264 Color Combo - A BRIGHT Halloween card!

 Hi friends!

    Welcome back. I hope you are ready for some mid-week inspiration. I adore the color combo this week! It definitely does not have to be a Halloween color combo, but that was all I could see. There was only one small problem...I really didn't have a Halloween set or image I felt worked with it...what to do....

 Here is the color combo I came up with based off of this inspiration. I might have broke the rules a little and chose TWO Mystery Colors. I feel like a rebel!

All I could see in my mind was Halloween, but like I said, I wasn't feeling any of my sets! I had to think outside of the box on this one. I ended up totally loving the card...now, just who to send it to?

 The cute little bat and spider web are included in the Seasonal Tags die set! I love those little hidden gems. I think the bright, fun colors and the polka dots give this card a very fun and whimsical card.

TGIFC#129 Seasonal Chums - Sketch Challenge

 Happy Friday!

     Sorry if you stopped by earlier and this post wasn't up - a few technical issues :) This week is our sketch challenge week at TGIF, and while I love the card I came up with, it was almost really hard to post on the TGIF page...the rest of the team KILLED IT this week! PCC263 Square Sketch - Stampin' Up! Weather Together

 Hi!!! It's Wednesday - are you ready for a mid-week pick me up? I sure am. Still working hard to get assistance to those affected by and working the scene of the events from last Sunday here in Las Vegas. It's been tiring, but so worth it.

 

 I don't usually create a lot of square cards, do you? I had fun creating this one though, with this week's Paper Craft Crew's fun sketch! Check it out.

 I hadn't used my Weather Together set in a little while, and I thought that the little clouds would make a nice fill in for the smaller circles. The card is pretty straight forward with just one little treat...

 I used my Aquapainter (with water) to get the finial and the handle of the umbrella wet, so that I could add Gold Embossing Powder! It's a fun touch of bling!

TGIFC#128 Color Combo Challenge - Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler

 What do you do when hubby takes his first "guys trip" post retirement? Well you make him a card of course! LOL If you want extra "awesome wife points" you throw in some cash and tell the guys to enjoy!

 This is a fun little set. I chose to watercolor their drinks, even though there is a stamp that you can just stamp it in. It was a quick card....well, the background took a little time, stamping "cheers" a million and one times - LOL! I think he really appreciate the effort. I apologized for putting a bow on his dude card and he thought that was funny...

PCC262 Tic Tac Toe Challenge - Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons and Painted Harvest

Hi friends! Welcome back...it's Wednesday, which means it's time for a Paper Craft Crew Challenge! This week is one of my favorite challenges - a tic-tac-toe challenge!

Before I get to my post, I need to share with y'all. If you have my blog before, you might remember that I live in Las Vegas, NV. You might remember that I am married to a  (now retired) Police Officer. My heart, like a lot of the world's is broken right now, after what happened in our city on Sunday night. I tried SO HARD to get tickets for that night, but the opportunities just kept closing for me. I am however connected to SO MANY people that were affected. I could write an entire post, but honestly, right now I don't have the emotional energy to. Maybe in the future. As our town heals, there are a lot of needs, and needs that will be in existence for a long time to come. During times like these, many people reach out to offer help. If you are looking for an opportunity, I just wanted to suggest two that I am very involved with, and personally can confirm the amazing work that these groups do for our Law Enforcement Community here in Las Vegas, and around the country - and their current fundraising efforts:

Las Vegas Metro Police Officer's Wives Group - I have been a member of this group for several years and these are some of the strongest, and most dedicated women I know. Not only taking care of our community, but other police organizations around the country.

Fraternal Order of Police, Las Vegas, Lodge 1  This group of men and women are retired and active Police Officers looking to help their brother's and sisters. With the help of the community, the Fraternal Order of Police, Las Vegas, Lodge 1 has obtained a disaster response trailer. However, the container currently remains empty due to lack of funds to provide the amenities. 

 If you have the means, and want to help, please consider donating to either of these organizations. If you would like to send a card to our Police department, please feel free to email me at j_bohanon1003 @ yahoo.com and I will be happy to give you an address where you can send them to.

We Create Blog Hop - Stampin' Up! Seasonal Chums Fun

 Happy October! I am so ready for this month! I love the Fall, and all that comes with it! I recently did a class and featured the super cute stamp set from Stampin' Up! - Seasonal Chums and I thought I would share one of the projects with y'all

 I've actually been using this set a lot! I think it's fun and there is so much that you can do with it.

 I really adore these little tags, so I decided to show you 3 different ways you can make them. If you are making a LOT of them, like maybe for a classroom, honestly, just stamping with Basic Black ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock makes an ADORABLE tag, having the coordinating Seasonal Tags Thinlits makes it pretty quick work. Most of my stampers chose this option the other night. If you are only making a few, you can stamp it on Whisper White and choose a medium to color it in. The one on the top right is colored in with our Stampin' Write markers, and the one on the test tube uses the Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens. 

 The set also comes with a few cute sentiments, so you can add a little note inside!

 Do you love the little Test Tubes? Great, right? They are so fun and I love that M&Ms fit so perfectly inside!
