Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Follow Your Dreams - New Stampin' Up! colors!

  Hi there! Happy Friday!!! I know you normally see my #tgifchallenges posts, but today I am hopping with the Fancy Friday gals. It's actually been quite a while since I've been able to hop with them due to all the craziness that's been going on, but when I saw this month's theme of using the new colors, I REALLLLY wanted to make the time to play along!

 

 

 If you haven't heard, Stampin' Up! REALLY changed things up this catalog with LOTS of new colors, including this year's new In-Colors! I am so in love. The colors are bright, saturated, and so on trend! If you'd like to check them out,you can click on the photo below.

 I might have gotten a little overzealous with my selection of colors - I wanted to use them ALL!!! LOL - I came kinda close....J/K!!!

 

 

 

 I love this card, mostly because it feels so "ME". I used the new Follow Your Dreams Bundle from Stampin' Up! This set was definitely on my "must have" list!

After die-cutting the feathers from Watercolor paper, I used Lovely Lipstick, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Highland Heather to watercolor them. For the background, I used the new Artisan Textures stamp set, and stamped off in another new color - Gray Granite, and then the dream catcher in the same color, only in full strength. The Basic Black "dream" die cut adds just the right punch to this colorful card.

#tgifc165 Summer Inspiration with Stampin' Up! Hostess set, Hand Delivered

 Hi there! Happy Friday!!! Hope y'all have had a great week. I spent most of last week in San Diego to attend my nephew's graduation from Marine Corp Boot Camp. This week, I needed some good time for ME, so I came home, quickly unboxed some new Stampin' Up! goodies, and started creating!

 

   I LOVE this sweet little image, and I think it's such a fun piece of inspiration. It screams summer, and happy, and cheerfulness, and relaxation. What really spoke to me though was the COLORS!!! I love them!Here's how this week's photo inspired me.

 I used a lot of new, fun products on this card and I love how it all came together. The mix and match possibilities of the Hand Delivered set are too much fun. It's a "Stampin' Rewards" set, so in order to add it to your collection, you can either hostess your own party, or put in a minimum qualifying order.

 I am loving our color refresh, and for this card I used an "old" color - Melon Mambo, a NEW color - Pineapple Punch, and a RETURNING color - (my fave) Coastal Cabana! Talk about a fun, bright color combo!

#tgifc163 Sketch Challenge - Stampin' Up! Petal Palette

 Hi friends! Happy Friday. It's been a challenging week around here. Just 3 weeks after my hip surgery, my youngest (8 yo) had to have nasal/sinus surgery on Monday, and last night, my AMAZING Golden Knights fell just short of a win to continue our quest for the Stanley Cup. Thank goodness for stamping therapy!!!

 Tomorrow night my "niece" is getting married. I kind of adopted her as a "niece" about 20 years ago! I knew I wanted to make her a super special card, I hope she loves it!

 I LOVE how this card turned out. I think that the soft watercolor roses with the Burlap Ribbon and Wood Textures Designer Series Paper will perfectly capture her style! To get this ultra-soft look, I stamped the image on my Watercolor paper with Soft Suede ink. This helps give it a very natural look. I added some shimmer to the card with my Wink of Stella brush on all the roses and leaves. I stamped three extra roses on a scrap of watercolor paper, and after coloring them in, I cut them out and added them to the center and on top of some of the roses on the main image to give it more detail and depth.

We Create Masculine Blog Hop

 Hi there! Welcome back. This is my first time posting since my surgery on the 11th, and everything went well. I'm still a little fatigued, and I can't stand or sit very long, but I did FINALLY get this card done. It took the better part of the afternoon, even though it's a simple card, thanks to all the breaks I had to take. I am happy to be hopping with the We Create Blog Hoppers again - it's been a while.

 I kind of feel like I am starting all over in my stamping room. It's been SO long since I've been able to create, and having to start and stop makes it a little challenging, so be kind, k? LOL

 This might not scream "masculine card" like some, but I did make it for my son, which means I did utilize some masculine card design "tricks" that I often use. A simple layout, a simple color scheme, and very few, if any embellishments. Especially when it's going to a teenage boy - simple seems to be best.

 I ADORE this new stamp set!!! It's called Lined Alphabet and the possibilities with this set - especially with it's coordinating die set!!! I know that this will definitely be a "desk sitter" for me (doesn't even get put away).

 For this look, all I did was stamp the letters so that they overlapped a little, then colored the letters in with the Light Night of Navy and Light Daffodil Delight Blends. I used the comma/apostrophe images for the confetti, and added in the dark shades of the same colors. To make it really pop, I added shadows with the light Smoky Slate Blend. So that the image was the focus, I added just a touch of sparkle with the new Whisper White and Silver Baker's Twine. All of these great products will be available in just a few sleeps!!!

#tgifc162 Color Challenge! Old Olive, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate

 Hi there!!! Happy Friday!!! Hope you had a great week. I'm still technically "recovering" from my hip surgery back on the 11th, and I am just starting to get in my stamp room again. I have to take more breaks than usual, and I feel like I have a long way to go to find my mojo, but I am happy to be able to try again! Using this week's #tgifchallenges color combo was a great place to start!

 

   Once again, I chose to play with the Animal Outing set. This really is a cute set, with great images and fun sentiments! I LOVE coloring, and really wanted to use my Blends again, to get the gorgeous saturated color they add to an image.

 Isn't he cute?  I love our Stampin' Blends! After coloring him, I cut the image with the Stitched Shapes Framelits (the largest circle). I then layered that on to a piece of Night of Navy cardstock that I wrapped with Silver Baker's Twine with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Old Olive layer was embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder. All of this sits on a Smoky Slate base. The best news is that you can start ordering all of these products at noon (MT) today!!!!!!
