PCC313 Sketch Challenge Stampin' Up! P.S. You're the Best

 HI!!!! I sure hope that you're having a great day so far :) I am really hoping that I will be spending most of my day in my stamp room - I have so much to do!!! First thing first though - I want to share with you this cute little card I made the other day using this great Paper Craft Crew sketch this week!

 I broke out a set I hadn't used in a while - P.S. You're the Best and it's super cute typewriter image.

  I needed to do something that wasn't "seasonal" though - so I broke out a few bright and bold colors and started playing!!! Stampin' Blends, watercolor wash, glimmer, and black - it's so FUN!

#tgifc182 Inspiration Challenge - Halloween

 Hello, and happy Friday! Hope that you are having a good week. As usual, we have another busy weekend ahead! So glad I got the chance to do lots of stamping this week! Did you get a chance to create? Whether you did or didn't, this week's TGIF Challenge is a good place to start!

   I loved the pretty black & white color scheme, so I decided to work with that and the pumpkins.

 I adore the Buffalo Check stamp!!! I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that this one sticks around after the Holiday catalog. I'm also totally smitten with the Tin Tile Embossing folder, and I think it makes the cutest pumpkin!!!

PCC311 Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge - Stampin' Up! Trick or Tweet

 Hi there! Welcome back!!! It's a gorgeous day here in Las Vegas, and it's hard to stay inside, however I have a LOT of stamping to do!!! So much going on in the next few weeks! I was able to get this cute card done for this week's Paper Craft Crew Challenge in all of my crafting craziness!

  This bright color challenge screamed Halloween for me, and even though I don't usually do Halloween cards (usually just treats and decor) I couldn't help but play with these cut little guys!

  I think that they are ADORABLE!!! Once again I had some fun coloring with my Stampin' Blends. These really are such a valuable tool to have in your craft room. They truly elevate your coloring!

  I did do a little masking in order to group the animals together. I stamped the Dog and Cat on the Thick Whisper White cardstock, and then again on a sticky-note. I cut out the images that were on the sticky notes, and placed them over the stamped images for my card. Then I was able to stamp the Elephant and made him look like he was just behind them.

#tgifc181 Sketch Challenge - Stampin' Up! Country Home

 Hello, and Happy Friday! It's time for another sketch challenge at TGIF Challenges, and when I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for an Anniversary card for my hubby. Yesterday was our 15th wedding anniversary!!!!

   Every year I try to incorporate some sort of element from our wedding into the card I make. This year it was kind of just that country feel and the purples like I had in the florals decorating the wedding.

   I still haven't done a lot of stamping since my surgery. It's been challenging getting back in to the groove of things, and well, it's still pretty uncomfortable to stand or sit too long.

   I absolutely love the images from the Country Home stamp set, and I especially love the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder!!! It's perfectly lovely! The image is colored in using Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut. I don't often use this many layers on my cards, so it was fun to try to pair up all the different elements!

PCC310 Tic-Tac-Toe Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons

 Hello! Long time no see, I know. I'm still recovering from my surgery on my right hip last month, and this one seems to be a little harder than the left one that I had in May. I had tried to get ahead before surgery, but, well... Life. Anyhow, I am back, at least for this challenge. Standing too long and sitting too long hurt, so time in the stamp room is hit or miss.

 I chose to use the Colorful Seasons stamp set to create my card featuring Leaves, Fancy Fold, and Baker's Twine. I originally planned to do a typical "Fall" card with the Leaves, but I decided to switch things up a bit. I won't say this is the best card I've made, or one of my faves, but after not stamping for a month - I think it's pretty good.

 I did try to add a lot of detail. The base of the card is Petal Pink cardstock, with the delicate leaf image stamped in Blushing Bride ink. I added Gold Heat embossing, and lots of special touches thanks to the Big Shot and our awesome embossing folders and dies!!!
