This week's #tgif challenge is kind of a fun one. Especially if you are/were a Seinfield fan :) I remember when I first started stamping, I think I sponged almost every single card I made! Seems like lately though, I tend to forget about my sponges/daubers... it was kind of cool to pull them out. I kept my technique pretty simple, but there are SOOO many things you can do with them. I can't wait to see not only what the rest of the design team comes up with, but what all our players create as well!

Like most people, I don't care for making Sympathy cards. I always say I will make them when I don't need them, but that doesn't usually end up being the case. Unfortunately, I needed this one when I made it. One of my sweetest friends (who happens to be on our tgif design team) recently lost her adorable puppy. She's also a mom of 3 young boys, so I knew it would be rough on them, so I wanted to send her a card to let her know I was thinking about them.
I used my well-loved, yet often over-looked Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I used the brush tip to achieve the 2 colors on the tree, then used a sponge dauber to add some color to the ground area and in the foliage of the tree to give it some fullness and depth. I used our regular sponges to add the shading on the Crumb Cake layer.
Here's an easy shopping list of supplies I used on this card, clicking on any of the images will take you to my store where you can purchase any of these items.
