SO excited to be participating in this month's Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop! Welcome!!! I needed to freshen up my Valentine's Decor, so the timing couldn't have been much better!
I have recently been a little obsessed with watching "Dollar Tree decor hacks" videos on YouTube. Have you seen these yet? They are so fun - crafters taking items they are finding at the Dollar Stores and giving them make overs! So off to the Dollar Tree I went! Silly me should have taken a before picture - but this was basically just a thin, unfinished balsa type wood heart. My living room has a lot of fun, red Valetine's decor, but my "formal" dining has a softer look, so I wanted to create a little something for in there!
Ok, there is very little stamping, and a whole lot of "Big-Shotting" on this one! The only stamping is on the "XOXO" - I stamped the flower heart image from the Meant to Be stamp set in Versamark on the letters, then heat embossed in Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder - just for a little close up interest.
To get a nice, finished look on the heart, I traced the heart on the backside of the paper from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, cut it out, glued it to the heart using Multi Glue, then once it was dried, I used an emery board to soften the cut edges of the paper and give it a more seamless look.
I am so excited to see what the rest of the designers created for their projects this month - please hop through to check everyone out, and leave a little comment love.
Thank you so much for visiting today! As always, I hope that you have a great day, and a great week, and take some time to create, because it's always Stamp Time Somewhere!
As always, I want to remind you how much I truly appreciate the opportunity to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. When you place your order this month, please use the hostess code PPD3CSG4 for a special thank you treat from me!
Don't forget about Sale-A-Bration extravaganza!!!! I love this time of year, because it means free gifts for EVERYONE!!! With every $50 you order, you can choose a free gift. There's also a few extra special choices for $100 orders - AND if you hostess or join my team, there's EVEN MORE!!!

So, so cute Jeanna! And who would have guessed it started off as a $1 item. I think I need to visit the dollar tree!

Who would think this was an inexpensive item from a Dollar store? So pretty.
