Hi there! I am so excited to kick off my Stampin' New Year with a great Color Combo from TGIF and a new stamp set from Stampin' Up!
I was so excited to finally put this lovely stamp set to ink, and wanted to keep the card pretty simple. One of my big focuses this year will be getting back to basics a little more often - back to the simple stamping that I fell in love with.
*Card base is Melon Mambo, topped with a layer of Smoky Slate. I used one of the smaller pattern stamps in the set to create an ombre pattern. To do this I first stamped the image multiple times, re-inking each time, then I stamped again, but I first stamped on scrap paper one time before stamping on the cardstock, then for the remainder I stamped 2 times on scrap paper before stamping on my cardstock. I love this look and it adds a great look without any special tools or bulk.
*The images in the stamp set are made to have this gorgeous water-color look which I LOVE! I cut my rectangle with our BRAND NEW - AWESOME Rectangle Thinlit Dies!!!! They are seriously fabulous, but this could easily be made just by trimming your cardstock into a rectangle shape.
Here's an easy shopping list of supplies I used on this card, clicking on any of the images will take you to my store where you can purchase any of these items.
