 Hi!!! It's FRIDAY, Y'all!!! That means it's time for some TGIF Challenge action! This week we have a fun technique challenge to share, and I must admit, it's been a LONG time since I've done it....

  I was reallllly not sure exactly what I wanted to do to show off this fun technique, but I had circles in my head, so I thought it might be fun to play around with one of my favorite Embossing Folders ever - Polka Dot Basics. It's one of the items I am REALLY going to miss when the new catalog comes out. I can't believe it won't be available after the end of May :(

  Here's what I eventually came up with -

 After I ran my piece of Petal Pink cardstock through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Basics folder, I used my Take Your Pick tool to pierce around each polka dot! I love the way it turned out. There's actually quite a few items on this card that won't be available in the next catalog - the Petal Palette stamp set and Petals and More dies, the Happy Birthday die, the Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon, and the Metallic Sequins!!! If you want any of these items, grab them while they are still available!!!

OSAT Blog Hop Spring Fling - P.S. You're the Best

   Hi!!! I am so super excited to share this card for you. I am also excited to share lots of fun new ideas and news from Stampin' Up! with you this weekend for OnStage, our bi-annual Demonstrator get together. My favorite part - outside of seeing all my friends, the great girl time, and the cool projects....definitely THE NEW CATALOG!!!    I had so much fun making these cards. I wanted to challenge myself to use a "holiday paper" in a non-holiday way. This gorgeous Designer Series Paper was in with the Valentine's products in the Occasions catalog. So, if you are just getting a look at the catalog, you might tend to skip over this completely - DON'T!!! It's way to versatile!!!

  I paired it with a fun set from the Annual Catalog - P.S. You're the Best. I love this set because you can mix and match so many fun sentiments with it in so many fun ways. I also LOVE this super adorable typewriter !!! Isn't it fabulous in Flirty Flamingo ?!?!? Our Stampin' Blends markers are seriously awesome!

 Did you notice that the flower in the stamp set happens to coordinate with the flower in the Paper? Fun, right? I used a bunch of fun little touches and embellishments to add that little extra special touch! Doilies, Glimmer Paper and Ribbons always add a little oomph! LOL!!! I used the back side of the Colored Doilies so that it didn't distract too much.

Creation Station - Going Gingham Style! Stampin' Up! Style with Abstract Impressions

 HEY STAMPIN' LADIES!!!! (and Gents)

   This month the Creation Station is Stampin' Gingham Style, and it's SO FUN!!!

 Isn't that little graphic ADORABLE?!?! I LOVE it! I also LOVE Gingham!!! Like LOVE and I am SOOOO happy that we have Gingham paper right now (I hope there's more in the upcoming catalogs too).

 I decided to go with a color combo that I don't usually gravitate towards, bright, and PURPLE! Actually, It's our gorgeous Highland Heather, mixed with some Gorgeous Grape, Pear Pizzaz, Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo! Take a peek...

 The Abstract Impressions is a GREAT set, I can't believe I JUST got it! I thought it would pair perfectly with the Gingham Gala 6"x6" Designer Series Paper. If you've followed me for any period of time, you know I love pairing colors like this with pops of black, so it seemed perfect to emboss the sentiment in White Embossing Powder on Basic Black cardstock.

#tgifc206 Color Challenge - Stampin' Up! Picture Perfect Birthday

Hi!!! Happy Friday! 

 I'm back this week with a great color challenge from TGIF Challenges! It screamed happy to me, so I decided to use it to create a birthday card for the MOST IMPORTANT person in my whole world (shhh.... no one tell him!)who's birthday may or may not be this weekend :)

 Ok, you ready to see? I kinda stepped it up a bit for me... it's a SHAKER card!

 I had so much fun creating this one! I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to create a great frame for the shaker. Then, to make the card really pop, I embossed the little confetti image with white embossing powder, then used my Stampin' Blends to color some in! Super fun technique! 

 I'm not sure why I don't make more shaker cards - they're kind of fun. I made my own confetti with some scrap card stock, and added in some sequins. Oh - a little tip, you can rub a dryer sheet on the Window Sheet to cut down on any static that might keep your shaker elements sticking to it!

We Create In Color 2017-2019 Blog Hop
