#tgif214 and Fancy Friday - Create a set and Designer Series Paper Love

 Hey there! Happy Friday! It's the last Friday of the month already!!! That means I am usually pulling double duty with a TGIF post and a Fancy Friday post. I LOVE when I can combine the 2 challenges! I totally did with this one!

 

 I was DYING to play with some new things from the upcoming catalog, and being as we will be able to order from it at the beginning of next week, I thought, "hey, why not?" I AM SO OVER THE MOON EXCITED that we will have gingham print paper in EVERY COLOR!!! I decided to use the gingham with the new In Color Designer Series Paper for this year and pair it with the super awesome Over the Moon stamp set....take a peek.

OMG! I am in love with these little cows! And the GINGHAM!!! Couldn't you just die they're so cute? I colored the cows with my Stampin Blends and then added some Paper Piecing to give each one cute little matching boots and flower! EEEK.... the cuteness!!!

 I also thought this would be a great way to share all of the AMAZING new InColors!!!  I'm sad to be losing some of our current papers, but there are going to be so many fun new Designer Series Papers in the upcoming catalog! When you follow the hop around, you'll probably see a little of both!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Hugs from Shelli

I'm so excited to be sharing with you today! I'm hoping in my very first Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! I couldn't be more honored either,  this kit was designed by Shelli Gardener herself! It's Spring, it's classic, it's soft, it's romantic - it's just outright dreamy! HOW do you do justice to a kit like this? Well, if you're like me - not without a LOT of contemplation. Although sure enough, once I got going, I had more ideas than time! LOL Funny how that works! Anyhow, I really did agonize over this one! For some reason I was really stuck on the idea of doing a home decor item, but just couldn't settle on WHAT! I searched all over my stamp room, all over my house - HMMM.... Finally, I opened the right drawer and found a beautiful pair of taper candles! Plain, classic, white candles - PERFECT! Now to just hunt down a few other things....

 It's been FOREVER since I made stamped candles, but I am so happy I did! I have a person in mind to give these too, but I kind of want to keep them for myself too!!!! (Good thing I can make another set, right?)

 These are 10" candles, and at first I thought it would be super easy, just stamp a bunch of feathers all over a piece of tissue paper with Crumb Cake ink, melt it in to the candle with my heat tool and TA-DAH, but I got a little weird about the seam and where all the feathers were, so I cut out each feather individually, stuck them in place with a TINY bit of glue and then got the heat tool out.

 To make the cute little wrapper, I actually cut apart one of the pretty, coordinating envelopes and used the inside pattern. The twines, tag, and little flower embellishments are all included in the kit!!!

#tgifc213 Stampin' Up! Gingham Gala and This Little Piggy Make Me Happy!!!

 Hello!!! Happy Friday!!! It's our first day of Summer Break here in Vegas, although you wouldn't know it from our weather. It's been highs in the 70s people! That's like 20 degrees cooler than usual... although honestly, I'm SO GOOD with it! I hid in my stamp room a little the other day to create for this week's #TGIF Challenge - and it makes me so happy!

 

 I LOVE Gingham. Like a LOT, always have. I was really hoping that we'd get gingham papers in the new catalog. Let's just say, I'm pretty happy! I mean, if you love gingham, having it in every color is just serious happiness! Woot Woot!!!

 Until then, I am going to continue LOVING every last piece of Gingham Gala! Blue and Yellow has always been one of my happy color combos, so I kind of thought that this little piggy would be a perfect fit for this happy, country-ish color combo.

 The little piggy was colored with Petal Pink Blends on Thick Whisper White card stock, then cut out and layered on to the Balmy Blue small gingham print.I also cut out a few extra little flowers to add to the sweetness. I think that this little set is a great set to have on your stampin' shelf - I know it's one I go to a lot!

PCC338 Graduation Card with a Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek!

 Hi!!!! Welcome back!!! Well, it's last day of school eve here, so I am gearing up for a fun summer full of baseball and rowdy boys! Until then, I'm going to get in as much uninterrupted stamping time as I can. I was so honored that a friend of mine asked me to create a special card for her daughter who is graduating high school this week. I found the perfect sketch in this week's Paper Craft Crew sketch. (click on the sketch below to see all of the team's projects)

 I decided to use another upcoming stamp set from the upcoming Stampin' Up! catalog, Above the Clouds. What's super awesome about it is that it's going to be offered as a bundle with a PUNCH! I love punch bundles, don't you?

I had a lot of fun working with this bundle and really look forward to using it more, it has beautiful images and beautiful sentiments. 

I hope she loves it!!! Her school colors are Royal Blue and White, so I think it just lent itself to this set. I wanted to make sure it was extra special, so I used Shimmer card stock for the clouds, and built up each of the layers...

Of course because it's a special card, I had to do the inside as well!

 I know a lot of times I like making simpler cards, but it was really fun to make this extra special card to celebrate this young lady's accomplishments! The stamp set and punch won't be available until June 4th, but you will for sure want to get your hands on this one!

SU Style Home Decor Blog Hop

 Hi!!! Welcome to this month's SU Style Home Decor Blog Hop! So glad that you're joining us! Hopefully you'll find some great inspiration along the way for using your Stampin' Up! supplies in some fun, new ways!

  A few weeks ago our oldest boys were part of a fundraiser for our church youth. It was an amazing Disney theme, and all of the kid's families were asked to help out by creating table centerpieces. There were some GORGEOUS centerpieces, too! Well, having all boys, and 2 of the 3 being older, I don't have a lot of Disney on hand - well - once again Stampin' Up! to the rescue!

 I did a little online research, then pulled out a TON of punches, dies, and scraps of cardstock!

 It was so fun to dig in to my supplies to see what I could use to recreate these iconic characters. I don't do it often, but I did use one of our retired punches to make the bows for Minnie and Donald, but you could still easily create them without that punch.

 I was kind of in a creative, mad rush to get them done, so I hope the supply list is correct! LOL. If you want to recreate something like this, just start PLAYING - circle and oval dies and punches and lots of scraps! I kind of want to play around some more to see what other characters I can recreate!

#tgif212 Paper Flowers

Happy Friday! Hopefully you know what Friday means it means time for some TGIF inspiration. This week we are bringing you projects featuring Paper Flowers.  You really should head over to the TGIF blog and check out the beautiful bouquet of projects our designers have pulled together for you. 

 I couldn't help myself,  I had to play with the Good Morning Magnolia Suite again. I thought it would be a perfect way to turn this special embroidery hoop from my grandmother into something even more special! 

 I LOVE the way it turned out!  I slipped a 6"x6" piece of the Designer Series Paper in the hoop, and then crafted the spray of flowers with the dies. To make the center flower larger, I added a few petal punched with our new Balloon punch! I stamped the large flower image a few times to get the leaves,  which i colored in with my Blends. 

 Want to see something that some might think is a little funny? One of the things I love about magnolias is the underside of the leaf. Even though no one might ever see the underside of these ones, I wanted to make them special,  so I colored  them too! 

It's a small touch,  but it makes me smile.

PCC336 Sketch Challenge - Stampin' Up! Animal Outing

 Hi Stampin' Friends!!! Hope you're having a great day!!! I have a fun little Thank You card for ya today - featuring Stampin' Up!'s adorable set - Animal Outing with the coordinating Designer Series Paper. One of the things I loved the most with this card sketch is how QUICKLY I was able to make this card!

 Keep this sketch in your arsenal, friends!

  Thanks to the cute giraffe print paper, the only stamping was the giraffe and the sentiment! Using the Stampin' Blends markers is easy on an image like this, you don't really have any blending to do. I used the Stitched Shapes dies for my card, but you could also use Circle Punches or the Layering Circles dies.

#TGIFC210 Color Challenge - with a Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek!

 Hello!!! Happy Friday, friends! Hope you are all having a good week. Anything fun planned for the weekend? I've got kiddo's baseball, and a Gary Allan concert on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it. Even though I have been in MAJOR Spring Cleaning mode, I took a little time out this week to get a few cards made. When I saw this week's color challenge, I just couldn't resist using a brand new stamp set coming out with the new catalog in June!

 Honestly, Magnolia trees and their flowers have been a long time favorite of mine. I instantly fell in love with this suite and I think that so many of y'all will too! 

 For this card I embossed the flower images (one large, 2 of the smaller) in Gold Embossing Powder on Thick Whisper White card stock. I then I colored in the petals with Petal Pink and the Ivory Blends. I love the depth and saturation that our Blends add to an image. I colored in the leaves with my Crumb Cake Blends, then cut out all of the images using the coordinating Dies - made it really easy!

 The background is water-colored with Pool Party reinker on Water Color Paper, with the sentiment also embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. For a subtle embellishment, I added some of the Petal Pink Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

 Don't forget that you can decorate the insides of your cards too!!! For this card, I stamped the flower image with Versamark ink in the corners...

 I really can't wait to share this gorgeous suite with y'all - expect to see LOTS of it! LOL

   Hello, and HAPPY MAY!!!! I am really looking forward to May - towards the end, it KINDA, SORTA, a LITTLE BIT, slows down in our crazy lives! So, once again, I decided to combine the Blog Hop theme, with this week's Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge!   I had fun playing with this sketch. Being as the We Create theme this month is the 2018-2020 In Colors, I wanted to use them ALL!!!

 I sponged the InColors in a spectrum on the Whisper White cardstock to serve as the horizontal band in the sketch. These colors were kind of just perfect for it, right?

 I wanted a little extra interest on the card, so I stamped the cloud images in Versamark Ink and then used Clear Embossing Powder. It's subtle, but FUN!
