#tgifc231 Catalog Inspiration Challenge - Stampin' Up! Snowman Season

 Happy Friday!!! Hard to believe that it's the last Friday of the month! Although the end of the month is busy, it's always fun, because it's full of creating for me! This month is no different! Did you see this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop and Fancy Friday Blog Hop? You should totally check them out!

  This week's TGIF Is a great one. We are pulling inspiration from a GORGEOUS spread in the Stampin' Up! Catalog.

  I LOVE turning to the pages of our catalogs for inspiration! There's always SO MUCH to see. Great layouts, color combinations, techniques... you name it! I chose to be inspired by a layout...

 I was still playing around with the Snowman Season Suite that I used for my recent Class to Go, so I wanted to see if I could combine a Suite that looked SO different, with the card on the above left....

 I think all in all, it works! Of course the Designer Series Paper does a lot of the work, but there are so many cute little touches and details on the card above, I wanted to add lots of little touches to my sweet little snowman. I started with embossing him with black embossing powder and adding the sweet little felt hat and scarf from the t It Snow Embellishment kit. To mimic the die cut word on the inspiration card, I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on Coastal Cabana cardstock and cut it out.

 Do you just LOVE the sparkly snowflakes? They are so FUN!!! I die cut them using the Christmas Layers dies, then covering them in Shimmery Crystal Effects AND Ice Stampin' Glitter. BOOM!!! SO SPARKLY!!!

Fancy Friday - Fancy Floral Stampin' Up! Magnolia Lane

Hello! Happy Fancy Friday! We have a beautiful theme for you this month, and honestly, I am SUPER EXCITED to see what everyone on the hop has to share! We are focusing on FLORALS! I think Stampin' Up!  pretty well known for it's selection of floral stamps, so there should be no shortage of inspiration today!

 This month, I actually I have TWO cards to share with you! The first one uses the gorgeous Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder. I worry that despite some gorgeous samples that this might get a little overlooked in the catalog, so I really wanted to showcase it!

 I ran the folder through my die-cut and embossing machine with our lovely new Watercolor paper - it's a dream! I then proceeded to use the embossed outlines as a guide to watercolor the image.

 A simple pairing of a card from the Magnolia Lane Memories and More Card Pack, a touch of trim with the Scalloped Lace, and a bit of elegance with the sentiment cut from the Well Written Words bundle, finish this off nicely I think.

  My second card highlights a piece of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, which is included in the Buy 3, Get 1 Free Sale going on until the end of the month.

 Thank goodness for a good pair of Paper Snips! There is very little stamping on this card (only the gold embossed sentiment), and the star is definitely the beautiful images in the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper! To let it truly shine, I kept the rest of the details very simple. The layer that it is on was embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder, there's no frills around the sentiment, but that Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon really adds the right amount of flair.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Bone Appetit

Hi there!!! Welcome back and welcome to this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This month's kit was seriously so fun to work with. I love how Stampin' Up! tries so hard to cover lots of bases, by providing a variety of different project ideas, types and styles. I love that they give us sneak peeks, so that we can have and idea of what's coming up next. This month had me so excited!

 In case you haven't seen all the wonderful-ness included in this kit - here is a great video from Stampin' Up!

 

 I can't believe I only have one kiddo that still wants treats for his classroom. I am thrilled that Stampin' Up! gives us the opportunity to order refill kits most months, but just in case they weren't going to be available, I knew I wanted to come up with my own alternative! The kit comes with 20 boxes, but there's 27 in my son's class!!!

 Ok, I might be biased, but I think they turned out ADORABLE!!! Not sure that's a good thing for Halloween, but hey.... They were pretty simple. I stamped the images on to a Mini Curvy Keepsake box in Versamark Ink, and embossed them with White Embossing Powder, added a quick little bow and tag (I added these with glue dots, not tied around the box handle, so that they would be easier for the kids to open.)

 I don't typically send out a "Happy Halloween" card to anyone, but I thought it would be cute to send out a Halloween THEMED card to someone, just to say "hey"...

 EEEP!!! So cute, right? Pretty quick too. The only thing stamped on this one is the little skulls in the background. The little skeletons are one of the pre-printed embellishments included in the kits! Check out that gorgeous bone-spider web die cut!!! WOW!!!

A Stroll Down the Lanes - Magnolia Lane and Garden Lane Designer Series Papers

OSAT Blog Hop - Welcome to our Holiday

 Hi there!!!! Welcome back! Hope you are having a good day. Hopefully you are also enjoying this month's One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop. We are hoping to inspire you with lots of great ideas from the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog.

 This is by far one of my favorite Holiday Catalogs ever! There are gorgeous suites and tons of inspiration. 

 Today I thought I would start out with a little Fall project. I like finding versatility with my stamp sets and when I saw the Frosted Foliage bundle, i knew I would be able to make not only some great Christmas projects, but Fall ones as well.

    I love the rich colors in the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper and used it for my inspiration. I stamped the Birch Background stamp in Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, then ran it through my die cut machine with the Subtle 3D embossing folder for some extra texture. The sentiment is embossed with Copper Embossing powder. I sent the layer with the sentiment through twice to create the small die cut. I love the little extra that the Copper Foil and Copper embossing adds.

 

    This cute little box  was made with our new Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box. Isn't it adorable? It is so tiny, but it fits a Lindt chocolate truffle perfectly. I wanted it to coordinate with the card, so I stamped it the same as above.

  *Here is a little tip if you want to stamp the die after you cut it, cover the area you don't want stamped (like the bottom)with a Post It note.

 I also found that if you take your Bone Folder and give the inside of the box a little curl, it gives it a little better shape.

 You'll also need a few additional supplies: 5 x 7 Frame, Sea shells, Driftwood.

A few tips on making the frame - : Cut Designer Paper into ½” x 4” strips. Layer from the bottom up overlapping them for the background. Use Hot Glue to secure the sea shells and driftwood in place. Cut seaweed die out of Old Olive Card Stock and Mossy Meadow pattern of Designer Paper.
