Hi, my Stamping friend! I hope you and your families are healthy right now amid all this CO-VID19 stuff, and adjusting to our new normals. It's been a big adjustment here for us, like I imagine it would be for almost everyone. My hubby is still working, so I am trying to learn how to adjust here with a lot more responsibilities on my plate. Some days have been pretty easy, but some have out-right HARD! Am I the only one that's cried this week?
Today, more than almost any other month, I am so grateful for my Paper Pumpkin Kits. It's been so nice to have a kit to just put together. Not a lot of muss or fuss, just sit down, and create. I loved this month's kit, so I actually assembled all the cards as designed, but then sat down with the TWO stamp sets that were included this month to create a few alternate ideas.
First up is just a pretty, feminine card featuring the ADORABLE rain boots image! Once I stamped them once, I couldn't wait to make a pair in like every single Designer Series Paper I have! LOL.
My first choice was this adorable floral pattern from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper. Why? Because I seriously want my own pair of these!!! I would LOVE them. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a pair? LOL. I love florals paired with gingham, so adding in a scrap of Mint Macaron Designer Paper from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Pack. To give the card a little extra texture, I ran the layer through my die cut machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, then added the floral stems from the Well-Written Word Dies. I LOVE how this card turned out.
The 3D I made was SO different though - LOL!!! I wanted bright, cheery, and FUN - and I think I got that with this little notebook.
Ok, so I kind of want a pair like this too! For this pair, I embossed stamped the outline first in Black, then the fill in image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Black Embossing Powder. Then I colored in the flowers and leaves with some beautiful, bright colors. The sentiment is embossed in white, and I fussy cut around just the words that I wanted.
I hope that you enjoy my projects today! I love this kit so much and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Enjoy our hop!
