 Hi there! Happy Friday! I'm running a little behind today...again. Seems to be happening a lot lately! Anyhow, ultimately I am here! I was excited to share with you a card for this week's #TGIFChallenge!

 One of my sweet friends and Stampin' Up! team members has been having a lot of health issues lately, so I thought I would make her up a quick card to hopefully cheer her up!

 Even though the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp looks intimidating, it doesn't have to be. While it looks amazing beautifully colored in with Blends or Watercolor, or any number of techniques, I think that doing something simple, like coloring in the background area of it with the Dark Pool Party Blend Marker, makes a big impact. Adding Daffodil Delight made for a bold, yet soft color combo.

#tgifc260 Belly Bands - Stampin' Up! Over the Moon

 Hi there! Happy Monday. Hope you are having a great start to the week. I'm having a much better start to my week, than my end to last week. I had a HORRIBLE headache that took a few days to get over. YUCK. 

 I did get a small break in the pain on Saturday and finally got a chance to do a little stamping, so I decided to combine the #tgifc260 challenge, and a fun color challenge #keepstamping from Stampin' Up!

 

 I thought I'd reach for a set that might not be immediately obvious for this color combo, or for using a belly band, but I am SO excited with how it turned out. I am going to write out this card to my hubby, he's had to put up with a lot at work, then come to a wife that is sometimes a stressball - LOL!

 You HAVE to see both pictures to see why I am so excited about it!!!

 

 

 

 

 Get it? Over the Moon!!!! LOL I am a little embarrassed about how excited I got when I came up with that idea! LOL.

  To create the background, I used the small stitched star from the Stitched Stars Dies to create a negative space for the Pool Party stars to shine through. I outlined the stars with the Wink of Stella and it's so pretty. Shows up a little dark in the picture, but adds just the right amount of sparkle!

Stampin' Fancy Friday - Fancy Folds Challenge - Stampin' Up! A Good Man

Hello! How's your day going? Are you finally getting a moment to yourself? Hopefully during the next few minutes I'll be able to share a little inspiration for you. 

  Recently the Fancy Friday Design Team comprised completely of current and former Stampin' Up! Artisans changed things up a bit so that we can all post throughout the month with one challenge in mind that we are bringing to you via our Instagram and Facebook team pages on the first Friday of each month. My card for this month posted on our pages just the other day, so I thought I'd share a few details with you!

 I love the A Good Man stamp set, and knew it would make a perfect birthday card for my husband. Of course, if you've been by here before at all, you probably know that I love my Blends, so I took my color cues straight from the Country Club Designer Series Paper and set to work.

 This Double-Z fold card was a perfect way to have a little fun and showcase this handsome Designer Series Paper. I LOVE argyle and plaid prints, so this collection is perfect for me. I don't really have a lot of need for the golf patterns, but the alternate side prints are just dreamy! Speaking of dreamy, the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder makes great, rich impressions, perfect for adding just the right amount of masculine texture!

OSAT Blog Hop - Celebrate those Milestones! Seriously the Best

 Hi Stampin' friend! How are you? Hopefully you are doing well today. 

   I'm back with the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for you today, and this month we are focusing on those milestones in life. Even though we can't attend these events, and some if not most have been cancelled right now, it doesn't mean that we won't need cards for them.....eventually....

 One way or another I'll be able to give these to my kiddo. He's supposed to be graduating 8th grade this year. He was supposed to go to Disneyland for a class trip, he was supposed to go to his 8th grade dance, he was supposed to be doing all those extra special things to celebrate moving from Middle School to High School. Whether or not he finishes his school year at his school, or here at home with me, we will find a way to celebrate! So, for this month's hop theme, I made a card and decorated a box to hold a gift card in his school colors.

 The details for both are pretty similar. I embossed the background with the AWESOME Absolutely Argyle 3D Embossing Folder, which is PERFECT for masculine cards! I used the Stitched Nested Dies to cut the shape from Crushed Curry Cardstock, then I stamped the "You did it!" sentiment repeatedly in Crushed Curry ink. The main sentiment is from the Seriously the Best stamp set (it just might be) and I stamped it in Versamark Ink on Basic Black cardstock, then heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder. I LOVE the little 2020 tag, which is just a tag from the Magnolia Lane Cork Accents which I cut down!

 The box essentially uses all the same materials, I just added the strip Of Basic Black cardstock around the Clear Acetate Card Box first, then layered my pieces on that.

 Hi there! I know this should say Happy Friday, but well, crazy life right now, right? I can't even say why I'm late... LOL. Guess I shouldn't make you wait any longer than I already have.

 FUN CHALLENGE!!!! 

    For this one, I got a little busy with my Paper Snips...

  The only stamping on this card was the sentiment. The images in the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper are pretty amazing, so I let it be the star. I fussy cut all the little purses and stacked them in the perfect little stylish spectrum!

Creation Station Blog Hop - It's What On the Inside That Counts - Stampin' Up! Let It Ride

  Hi, stamping friend!!! How ya holdin' up this Sunday morning? If it's been a long week, or if it's got to start all over again tomorrow, or if you're grateful for the reminder that today is Sunday...no mater... I'm glad you're here. 

  I've got a little special somethin' for ya today. Actually... it kind of got away from me, so I'm not sure that it completely follows the idea of this month's Creation Station Blog Hop, but that's where I started... lol

  The idea was to create a card with the focal point being on the INSIDE, or some kind of special fold or surprise on the INSIDE, and while I DID do a fun inside to this card, I can' help but be seriously proud of the front of this card....

 I love this stamp set and don't use it nearly enough. I did a little masking to create the scene, then carefully colored in the entire piece with my Blends Markers, because you know I love them!!! I did this piece first, and totally fell in love, then racked my brain to try to figure out what I could do to make the inside more special. It MIGHT come a little close (but that front though!)

 I found the fold directions on-line and will try to get the directions up here for you soon, because it really is kind of fun!

 Next up on the hop today is the FABULOUS Miss Dena Rekow!!! She never disappoints. Enjoy the hop!!!

 Hi my awesome Stampin' Friend!!! I hope you are having a wonderful day. Well, today is April 1st. April Fool's Day. I think a lot of us are wishing that the last month (or few months) was all one bi April Fool's Joke.... but sadly that's not the case. It honestly seems like almost everyone I talk to has had one of the roughest starts to any year that they can remember. If that's you too - I'm sorry. If you need prayers...feel free to comment. I won't post your comment publicly if you do not want me to, but I'll add you to my prayers.

 It was with our team's concern for others that brought about our theme this month. Showers of Greetings. While this pretty much covers just about everything, I felt like I needed to make this card as a reminder to you...to all of us right now....

 

 I wanted a very soft look, something that will hopefully bring a little bit of piece to the person who opens it...

 I love the soft color combo which really sets the tone, and even though the sentiment is bold, it's so important right now!
