#tgifc270 Summer Vibes with Stampin' Up! Cute Fruit!

 Hey Hey!! Happy Friday! It has been a hot week here in Vegas, so this week's theme was perfect for me!!! Who else would rather be on a beach, toes in the sand, with a cold, fruity drink maybe?

 I fell in love with the stamp set Cute Fruit the moment I saw it! If it doesn't look extremely familiar, it's because it's actually featured in the "Make Beautiful Things" Mini Brochure/Catalog designed especially for (but of course no limited to) our Newer Stampers! It's basically a "cute set", but I decided to try to give it a more artistic look for this card though!

 To achieve this look, I spritzed some water on some Watercolor paper, then I also spritzed a little water on the stamp after I inked it up. It gives a very impressionistic, watercolor effect, I LOVE IT!!! There are two other products that I used on this card that I LOVE and think are absolute must haves! In fact, like add them to your order TODAY - the GORGEOUS Artistry Blooms Sequins (They are SOOOO Sparkly, and adhesive backed!), and the Black and White Baker's Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack. I am going to use the heck out of this stuff!!!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing - Box of Sunshine

 Hi friends! Welcome back to another Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! I absolutely LOVE this month's KIT!!! It's so bright and cheery, and that makes me so happy! I NEED lots of happy sunshine, what about you?

 The idea behind this box is to fill it up with happiness and re-gift it! Sounds fun, right? I can not WAIT to do that! Until then, I used an extra of one of the die-cuts included, and a few of the stamps and some other supplies to create a QUICK card, and cute little Mini Curvy Keepsake Box!

 

 Seriously easy, an embossed background, a die cut from the kit, a heat embossed sentiment, a few gems for embellishment and DONE!

 

I added a little more detail to the box. After cutting a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock with the Mini Curvy Keepsakes die, I stamped the word Smile in Crushed Curry ink all over it. I added a simple tag with the sun stamp, colored in with my Blends markers.

#tgifc269 Technique Challenge - Featuring Stampin' Up! Tasteful Touches

 Oh. My. Gosh.... Long time no see!!! That was a very long, very unintended hiatus. At the end of May I took a temporary contract job that ended up being way more physically demanding than I anticipated and to tell you the truth, it kicked my booty!!! I survived, but let's just say that I am danged proud that I did it - I still can't believed I walked almost 108 miles in 4 weeks! Just this past week I was able to move into a different job with the same group, and I am working just 3 days a week and it is no where near as physically demanding! This gave me an opportunity to actually CREATE yesterday!!!!

 

   One of the great benefits of that job was a little extra cash in my pocket, so I treated myself to some new supplies from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.One of the first things I HAD to have was this Tasteful Touches Suite!!! A great all purpose stamp set, one of the best Designer Series Paper packs, and great dies - who could ask for more?!?!

 I had intentions of something bright and colorful, but then this color combo jumped at me, and I thought that I could use this for a Father's Day card this weekend, so I went for a more subtle look.

 I am LOVING this new In Color - Misty Moonlight. It is the prettiest blue! The gorgeous leaf dies are from the Forever Flourishing Dies - another must have!
