A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Joy to the World - a Little on the WILD Side!

 Hello, hello!!! Welcome to this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. Once again, Stampin' Up! brought us an amazing kit, full of beautiful card designs and a great stamp set! This hop is going to be full of amazing ideas.

  Today I only have a card for you. Let's just say I had some massive issues at the last minute with my second project. I didn't want to miss sharing this card with you though, because it was so FUN and DIFFERENT from the projects in the kit! Take a look at all of the pieces you get and the cards that it's designed to make.

 How I ended up with my color scheme based off of what was in the kit is beyond me. It's quite different, but I thought it might be super fun... what do you think?

 I really had fun creating this card. I used Sponge Daubers to apply Magenta Madness, Daffodil Delight, and Coastal Cabana inks on to the "joy" stamp. I used that to create a bright and happy background. To create the wreath, I stamped the image in Granny Apple Green and filled in the leaves with the coordinating Blend Marker, I then carefully cut it out. I LOVE the tinsel like fun touch that the Sheer Metallic Mesh Ribbon adds!

 I am hoping to try to fix my second project and get it added here for you soon, but until then please enjoy the rest of the amazing hop!

#tgifc286 Inspiration Challenge - Stampin' Up! - My First Bloom & Grow Card.

    Hello - Happy Friday! I am so glad you came back to see me! Especially on Fridays.... I sure love creating with the talented gals at the TGIF Challenges Team Blog! This week is our inspiration challenge, and I think it's an awesome one!

 Ok, so I am so happy with how this card turned out!!! I played with a brand new to me stamp set that I got during last month's stamp sale, Bloom & Grow (I wish I had remembered to get the coordinating dies!). This is such a LOVELY set. Beautiful images that are easy to color, and wonderful sentiments with gorgeous fonts.

 I took several ideas from the inspiration image for my card -

 I wish we had really good farmer's markets here in Vegas, and they TRY, but it's just a little different. Someday I will live in a smaller town where there are fabulous little farmer's markets that I can stroll through. Hmmm, maybe I will even be a vendor!

 I knew I wanted to use a wood look circle like the inspiration photo, so our AMAZING In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to the rescue! (Guess what - It's on SALE RIGHT NOW!!!) It made for the perfect backdrop for my flowers and gold embossed sentiment! I love all the special little touches in the card. The delicate gold details in the die cut from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, the sweet white scallops and stitching peeking out, just a touch of Linen Thread, and of course the elegant Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

OSAT Blog Hop - Trick or Treat

  Hi there! Welcome back, so happy to have you back with our One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! Are you loving it so far? You will not want to miss all the amazing projects we have for you.

  This month is all about those Halloween Trick or Treat goodies! I have been having so much fun sharing some fun Halloween projects over the past week or so, and loved being able to keep it going.

 I love all of the great images in the Banner Year stamp set, but admit that some times it can be tricky to make smaller images work. I have found that keeping it simple or just "KISS" (Keep it simple Sweetie) OR creating your own patterned backgrounds seems to work great. For these, I did both!!!

Can I just tell you how much I STILL love the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Die? I love that you can cut two from one sheet of cardstock! I used the Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and created my own Jack-o-lantern pattern. Isn't it sweet?!?!

Stampin' Fancy Friday Design Team - How Did I Forget This?

 Holy Smokes!!! I can not be the only one going in 20 million directions lately, right? I can not believe I completely forgot to post my card that I created for last month's Stampin' Fancy Friday Challenge!!! It was a great theme, and the team came up with some amazing creations. You can check them all out and follow along with the challenges on our Instagram Page - Stampin' Fancy Friday.

 

 Some of the team got really creative and combined some really different sets - I went for a little more of an obvious combo, but one I had been dying to try!

 I LOVE sunflowers and really wanted to pair the ones from Jar of Flowers with the sweet little milk jug from Country Home. I took my inspiration from the color combo in the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper, and once again colored with my FAVE Stampin' Up! product - BLENDS!

  I had fun adding all of the little extra touches on this card, like the tone on tone stamping of the sunflowers on the sentiment, and the delicate little Old Olive border created with the Ornate Border Dies!

Creation Station Blog Hop - Whatever You Wannabe Stampin'

 Holler!!!!  (LOL - Spice Girls reference #1)

     I could just scream at how fun this awesome Blog Hop is! At first I was like, "a SPICE GIRLS" inspired Blog Hop??? Then I laughed at the fun description of the challenge placed before us. Be inspired by one of the Spice Girls - Hmmm, let's go back - Sporty, Baby, Ginger, Posh, and Scary Spice!!!! Woo Hoo! How could you not have fun with that theme?

 Well, I didn't "Wannabee" "Wasting my Time" (hee hee #2 and #3) so I sat down, put the Spice Girls playlist on Spotify and started stamping. I want to say that might card might be a little Scary Spice and a little Posh Spice.

 So I don't usually make Halloween cards, but this one kind of just came out.... I used a set that most would probably not associate with Halloween, along with some colors that may or may not be Halloween colors as well, but I think all together, it makes a great harmony (does that count as #4?) 

 I love feather images, and the feather in Tasteful Touches was calling my name, begging to be turned in to a Halloween image. I grouped the three feathers and curled the edges for some dimension, and layered them over the pretty, scroll type background/texture image that i stamped in Magenta madness. To create the exact sentiment I wanted, I stamped the words from Celebration Tidings and from A Wish for Everything stamp sets on Basic Black Cardstock, embossed them with Silver Embossing Powder and pieced them together.

 I layered it all on the lovely diamond pattern Designer Series Paper from the Magic In This Night pack. It definitely needed a touch of Posh, so I added some Blue Adhesive Backed Gems and some Iridescent Pearls, as well as splatters of Frost White Shimmer Paint.

 All in all - I'd say I am a huge fan of this card, and would like to thank Scary and Posh for the inspiration! Now I need the right fancy person to send it to! 

 I can not wait to see the BRILLIANT ideas from the rest of the Blog Hop - you know the designers on the team are all outrageously talented! Next up is Kerstin Kreuzer.

#tgifc284 Color Challenge - Stampin' Up! Little Treat Box

Happy Friday! Welcome to the first TGIF Challenge of October! We love inspiring you every week with grat challenges, and the first one of the month is always a great color challenge. This one is perfect for October too!!!

 I thought it would be a great time to start getting some little Halloween treats done, and Stampin' Up!'s Little Treats Bundle is the perfect way to do it!!!

 

 I love these little boxes, they are SO EASY! Cut, fold, tie or glue, and done! Orrr..... play a little. I stamped the little cobweb from Banner Year in Versamark ink, and embossed in Silver Embossing Powder to make an easy background. To add just another extra touch, I colored some Silver Edged Ribbon with a Rich Razzleberry Blend! Fun right? Custom ribbon!

 These treat boxes are PERFECT for those Ghiradelli Square chocolates, or a small pass out sized candy for Halloween.  It's definitely an awesome bundle to get!!! You can do SO much with it!

We Create Blog Hop - You Go Ghoul - It's a Banner Year

 It's OCTOBER!!! I know there were plenty of days I wondered if we would ever get to this point in this year. I am so grateful for today and every day. I am grateful that we are in "Fall" - I have to put it in quotes, it just doesn't feel like Fall here - it's expected to still be high 90s most of the week. It's okay though, because I'm still going to treat it like OCTOBER. Speaking of treats, I have a fun, quick treat idea for you for today's We Create Blog Hop - "You Go Ghoul"

 I thought I would go with the obvious Halloween theme, but I think there are a few other ways you could take it, too! 

 Now, when it comes to Halloween treats - I admit, if it's for friends/co-workers or my own kids, I like doing something a little fancy, but when it comes to treats for the kids friends and such, well - I don't spend a ton of time because I know they generally aren't as appreciated.

 Recently I bought a bag of these cute little "test tubes" off of a friend who was de-stashing some of her supplies. I thought I'd fill them with some chocolate covered candies and make a sweet and simple little tag.

 Aren't they FUN? So simple too!

1. Cut a strip of Smoky Slate Cardstock 1" x 4 1/4" and punch each end with the Banners Pick a Punch. Stamp the web from Banner Year in Smoky Slate once on the left side of the tag, and then without re-inking, stamp again on the bottom right hand side for a softer look.
2. Stamp the "BOO" in Versamark Ink on to small strips of Basic Black Cardstock and emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Cut apart and adhere to slightly larger strips of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock and trim apart again. Add to the tag using a Stampin' Dimensional.
3. Using a small hole punch, punch a hole in the tag and tie to the tube using Baker's Twine or Linen Thread. I wanted orange twine to match, but didn't have any, so I dyed my Linen Thread with Pumpkin Pie Reinker!!!
