Hey, hey, hey! Happy Sunday, and welcome to this month's Creation Station Blog Hop. We have such a fun theme for you this month! I think it's going to be full of inspiration, as well out our cactus, succulents, western, and other outdoorsy elements for our projects this month.
I knew I wanted to play with the adorable Cactus Medley for this one. I have seen a few great silhouette look cards using it, and thought I would try my hand at one.
Once again, I had a blast playing with some fun, ombre looks. I blended darker inks on the Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, and Purple Posy Cardstocks in the "photos" as well as on the Designer Series Paper that is included in the Flowering Cactus Product Medley.
There is a LOT of texture on this card -
- One of the dies in the Medley, creates the tall cactus on the left. It also creates the texture in it as it cuts the outline.
- After cutting the second cactus die, I ran it back through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Little Details Embossing Folder.
- For just a little extra texture, I tore the Basic Black Cardstock for the ground piece instead of cutting it.
- In addition to using a few Artistry Blooms Sequins, I added some of the great Felt Flowers from the Medley.
I've been having a blast playing with this great Product Medley, and I definitely think that it is one that has a lot of versatility.
