#tgifc329 Sketch Challenge - Stampin' Up! Be JOLLY!

Hello and Happy Friday! I am so happy that you stopped by today! I have a fun card to share with you that I created for this week's TGIF Challenge!

 How adorable are the Santas in the Be Jolly stamp set? I could just squeeze them!!! I treated myself to this set just so I could color them. Seiously, I LOVE them. Now, I am not sure why I thought about coloring him in a Polished Pink suit, but well....these things happen, right?

 Yes - he's rocking a pink suit, and I think it "suits" him just fine!!! LOL. He even has some sparkles on his hat and sleeve trim! This was a pretty fun card to put together. In addition to the Santa I colored in with my Stampin' Blends, I stamped the star image in Polished Pink ink on a piece of Polished Pink Cardstock, then added it to a piece of Coastal Cabana that was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.

OSAT Blog Hop Turning a New Leaf - Bloom Where You Are Planted

 Hey there!!!! Hope this finds you doing well today. I am a happy mom...after a very long time, my kids are back in school full time. I have loved having them home, but I am LOVING the quiet time to focus on stamping and my business!!! That made it a lot easier to create these projects for this month's One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop for you!

 This month's theme is all about LEAVES!!! Now when I first saw the theme, I thought for sure that I would create something with yummy, fall colors...but then I was flipping through my supplies and found my pack of the gorgeous Bloom Where You Are Planted Designer Series Paper, and suddenly, my ideas took a sharp turn.

Honestly, I did very little stamping on these, basically just the sentiments!!! Everything else is from the Designer Series Paper, and a few other awesome products thrown in, like our new treat boxes, and our Tasteful Label Dies!

All I added to this wonderful pattern for the front of this card was a Vellum label cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies, A sentiment embossed in White Embossing Powder on some Cinnamon Sider cardstock, and a GORGEOUS plant image that I fussy cut from one of the other papers in the pack.

 The Scalloped Craft Treat Box was the perfect start for a box to complete this cute little set. I wrapped a strip of Evening Evergreen cardstock around it, and covered the ends with another Tasteful Label, then added some Linen Thread and another embossed sentiment and fussy cut plant! Talk about quick and easy!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - The Adventure Begins

 Hello and welcome back! I am so excited to share some fun alternative ideas with you today, featuring the Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin Kit, The Adventure Begins.

 Some months I love going really over the top with the Paper Pumpkin alternates, but this month kind of called for a different look for me. I decided to make a card and mini notebook for one of my boys as he returns to school. I thought that the sentiment really leant itself, and it would be a nice little surprise for him. 

 I did put more detail in to the card, and kept the little notebook very simple, with the hopes that he will keep it in his backpack as a spot to write down hopes, dreams, and accomplishments as he goes through this coming school year. That meant no dimension, no embellishments. Just a stamp, some ink, and some cardstock. I don't want anything to get caught as he uses it.

 I did add a little embossing on the card with the pine detail from Wintry 3D Embossing Folder set. It also comes with a gorgeous snowflake one! I also added a few little swirls of some Linen Thread for even more interest. Lots of Stampin' Dimensionals on this one too - behind the Granny Apple Green Tree, behind the embossed layer, and behind the Basic White layer.

 I actually love this tree image from the kit and plan on adding it in to a lot of my projects! I know that you will find so many great ideas on today's hop.
