Hi there!!! Holy smokes - it's been BUSY! If you follow me regularly, you know that I try to combine my last TGIF Challenge of the month with whatever our Fancy Friday Blog Hop Challenge is, but it just wasn't working for me this month, so I have TWO posts today!!! I mean, I COULD have - but I actually didn't - LOL This week at TGIF Challenges, we are featuring projects using Embossing Powder, which you could almost use on ANY project, so....
I am so excited about the upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog! In just a few days, you'll ALL be able to order from it!!! This little snowman kind of stole my heart, and I can't wait to try so many ideas with him, but for today's card I thought I would play with some Emboss resist and watercolor!
It's an easy technique, just emboss your image, then swoosh some watercolor over it. The image will resist the ink and you'll be left with a beautiful look. Isn't that frame behind him just dreamy?!?! It's in the Feels Like Frost suite! This is definitely one you NEED to add to your craft supplies!!! I wanted to add a little bit of extra shine, so I mixed up some shimmer spray by adding the Frost Shimmer Paint to some rubbing alcohol in a spritzer! So fun and I think it add a nice little touch.
