Stampin' Up! Leadership Display Boards - Hello, Sailor! Anchors Away

Hi there!!!!

 Or should I say, "Hello, Sailor!" LOL. I think that this was the card that changed my mind about this set. As soon as the idea of having Gold, anchor-embossed vellum was in my head... it was ON!!!! I love this vellum!!!! I want MORE....

 

TIPS -* Layering the vellum on top of the stripped ribbon gave it even more interest!

Stampin' Up! Leadership Display Boards - Hello, Sailor!

Hi there!!!!

 Or should I say, "Hello, Sailor!" LOL. Ok, ok, I will admit, when I saw this stamp set in the catalog, I did a "What the Heck?". I thought... I live in VEGAS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me get something else to work with. Then it showed up in my box of supplies. Well, so I HAD to use it.... Can I just tell you how WRONG I was about this set? Once I started playing, I LOVED it!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

 

TIPS -* I LOVE that the anchor fits inside the Sale-A-Bration banner punch!

* The Summer Starfruit ribbon was a little too wide for this card, so I cut it right up the middle.

Stampin' Up! Leadership Display Boards - Petal Parade- Smile

Hi there!!!!

 Are you enjoying seeing the Display Samples??? I hope so! I am enjoying sharing them with you. This was one of my "ok" Petal Parade cards. I wanted something that would be a great card to make in a "workshop" or "class" setting, and while it is a simple card, I think this would be a great card for a class. Not all stampers have a ton of product to work with, and I think this card does a great job of showing that you can create a really pretty card and you don't have to have everything in the catalog!

 

TIPS - *Try embossing images on your Deisgner Series Paper and not just cardstock for a completely different look

*When using a simple layout like the one above, add interest with Dimensionals

 Are you enjoying seeing the Display Samples??? I hope so! I am enjoying sharing them with you. Okee Dokee - so I am NOT usually a flower stamp set kinda girl. Well, that makes it a little hard when I HAVE to create with a flower set... I tried, I really did. I like some projects I created more than others, that's for sure! I actually kind of really like this one. It is a pretty simple card.

 

TIPS - *When you are stuck - look for a card sketch! I found this one on Pinterest somewhere.

            *Sometimes less can be more

Stampin' Up! Leadership Display Boards - Birthday Card Box - See Ya Later Alligator

Hi there!!!!

 Hey! Hey! How was your weekend? Hope it was GREAT! We had such beautiful weather here!

 Ok, so this is my last project to share with you featuring See Ya Later Alligator (well, maybe not THE last, but the last for right now) I did one other card, but I'm sending that one to all y'all who get my newsletter first!!!

EEEEEK! Ok, so I was super excited when this all came together. I'm not really sure where the idea came from, but I am so glad it CAME!

 
See? The card lays flat on top of the box or can be propped up like a little easel card!

TIPS - *Markers are great for getting detail color on a stamp.

            *make up lots of gift boxes and store them flat so you can have them on hand when you need them

Stampin' Up! Leadership Display Boards - Confetti Birthday Card

Hi there!!!!

 Are you enjoying seeing the Display Samples??? I hope so! I am enjoying sharing them with you. I told you in the beginning that I love the See Ya Later Alligator stamp set. Two of the projects I created for the boards used this birthday stamp, I'll share the other one next and then I have a BONUS project that I am putting in my newsletter (If you haven't subscribed yet, you can just over there on the right ---->  )

I think I would giggle for days if I received this cute card for my birthday! I LOVE it!

 

Ok, so aside from sanding my Pool Party Coredinations cardstock, I had to add another fun little technique to this one. I carried over the "confetti" look from one of the designs in the Sale A Bration Designer Paper by creating my own stamp from one of my son's pencil erasers! I snipped off the perfect edges so it had a more irregular appearance. I LOVE IT!

 

TIPS - *Sewing on cards is a HOT trend - don't worry if you aren't really good at sewing, imperfection is the look!

            *Black really makes this fun spring color combo POP!

Stampin' Up! Leadership Display Boards - Once in a Lifetime Scrapbook Page - 2 ways!

Hi there!!!!

 I was SO happy when Stampin' Up! offered the Artisan Design Team Members the opportunity to create samples for their Leadership Convention in Houston this month, I've had these photos for over a month and was DYING to share them with you but I couldn't!!! I have photos of 26 projects created with the Sale A Bration stamp sets and some from the Ocassions Catalog as well!

 Ok, so I LOVE to scrapbook with MDS, but "traditional" scrapbooking gives me MAJOR anxiety! Like MAJOR - "what if I cut something wrong?", "What if I don't like it and ruin something?"..... you get the idea

Well, at least I knew what photos I could use. My hubby and I renewed our vows for our 10th Anniversary back in October. It was his idea.... sweet, right?

 

I LOVE this See Ya Later Alligator stamp set and darling Designer Paper! I really was wanting these patterns in a vellum, but I opted to make it shiny with packaging tape! FUN technique!

TIPS - *Heat Embossing adds so much to a project - I embossed the stamp set with Gold Embossing Powder on this one ( I might need a gold intervention)

            *The packaging tape transfer method really was fun and gave this project a fun and unique texture

            *With all of the Sale A Bration items being offered in MDS you could easily recreate this project!

Stampin' Up! Leadership Display Boards - You Make Me Happy Banner card

Hi there!!!!

 I was SO happy when Stampin' Up! offered the Artisan Design Team Members the opportunity to create samples for their Leadership Convention in Houston this month, I've had these photos for over a month and was DYING to share them with you but I couldn't!!! I have photos of 26 projects created with the Sale A Bration stamp sets and some from the Ocassions Catalog as well!

 I thought I'd start off by sharing the first card I made when I started playing with all these beautiful projects.

This was the first set I reached for because it is so ME! Do you ever feel that way about a set?

The See Ya Later Alligator Stamp Set, Banner Punch and  Embossing Folder are all items that you can earn for free during Sale A Bration (starts Jan 31st - WOOT WOOT!!!) CA-YUTE, right?!?!?

TIPS - *After using the Embossing Folder I smooshed my White Craft Ink pad over the raised image to make it pop a little

            *To get the Ruffled Ribbon mat around the circle image, I used Sticky Strip and just slowly worked the ribbon around the edge.

            *To make sure that the Gold Baker's Twine stayed where I wanted it to under the banners, I used that tiny little border around the Stampin' Dimensionals sheet cut into lengths at the very top of the banner, then a regular Dimensional, leaving a channel for the twine to sit in.
