 Hi all!

    I'm back! Well, to a point. I'm back on here, however I am still in recovery mode :) I did finally confirm that my toe is broken (back from Nov 13th) UGH...

   Do you take an annual Family Christmas photo? I think most families do. We usually take one, but believe it or not, we've never done one in a studio!!!! I decided that this year, it HAD to happen!

   I decided to take a recent PL MDS page I did, and basically switch out photos and embellies - and I had this done in no time!

MDS Blog Hop - Playing with Project Life by Stampin' Up! MDS Style

 Hi all!

    I am quickly falling head over heels in love with Project Life by Stampin' Up! I also love both formats - the traditional products and the MDS versions! Thanks to my foot and knee issues lately, I have been doing a LOT of MDS, so I am grateful to have this new way of working with it! Here is a page I made with the Hello December kit with our family Christmas photos last year.

 

I love being able to just go with tried and true layouts and simple embellishments and journaling. Here is a page I shared earlier in the week as a page for Catherine & Cathy Create. On this one, I used Seasonal Snapshots.

MDS Monday 88 MY sketch!!!!

Hi friends!

 Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Did you get any creating done? My week has been INSANE!!! On top of having our flooring replaced downstairs to tile and living with 5 of us upstairs (because of course my boys are on track break), the day before I was supposed to get the "clean bill of health" after my foot surgery, I dislocated my knee cap on the same leg (my "good" knee - I've dislocated the other one like 3 or 4 times)

 Anywhoooo, this week over at MDS Monday it was MY turn to create the challenge!!!! While I love the look of clean and simple pages, every once in a while I want to go "all out" Really have fun with a page and use lots of color, patterns and embellishments. So this week I encourage you to use the sketch and make it as PLAYFUL and COLORFUL as possible! So here is my sketch:

 

And here is my COLORFUL, CRAZY page!!!!!

 

 YAY for FUN pages!!!!! I LOVE all of the colors - it worked so perfectly with the Sesame Street theme!!!

MDSM85 Time to Tweak a Template

 

Hi friends!

 Happy Monday! Hope y'all had a good weekend. I can't believe I just celebrated my TWENTY YEAR HS reunion. How did that even happen?

 This week over at MDS Monday Holly gave us the challenge of tweaking one of the templates that are in MDS

I have always been drawn to this page in the templates, just couldn't figure out when to use it. It's from the Hip and Handsome Overlays. It's a great stamp brush set. (Click on the photo below to view all  the images better)

I really only made minor changes. Instead of the more flowery shape, I changed it to stars, I changed out the letter, and added my journalling, that's IT! So easy!

MDSM84 A Little Vintage

Hi friends!

 Happy MDS Monday! Did you have a good weekend? I spent a lot of mine getting things ready for my HS reunion. I'm doing a LOT of fun things for the party and I am pretty excited.

 This week is a pretty simple sketch over at MDS Monday and I love that Tami challenged us to go vintage. One of my goals is to create an album with some of my families older photos. Of course, I usually have SO many projects going on, I haen't done it yet.

So this sweet boy right here is my Daddy. I LOVE this picture....

It's a Fancy Friday! September Sketch Edition

 

 Woo Hoo! It's a brand new kinda Friday 'round here! It's a FANCY one!!! So, remember that awesome team I got to design with all of last year? Well, we just couldn't bear to not keep designing with each other. So, what else to do but keep HOPPIN'!!!! Being as that the word "fancy" is  kind of a theme word for us - fancy projects, fancy clothes, fancy friends - well - Fancy Friday seemed logical! So each month we will have a theme, it could be a color challenge like this month's, or maybe a sketch, who knows, but you will always want to check it out and play along. This month someone will even get a free stamp set!

 Ready to see this month's inspiration challenge? It's this fun sketch brought to us by my fabulous friend, Jennifer Timko.

 I was stumped a little at first, so I decided to just kind of follow her sketch pretty literally and change out just a few things. With Fall and gratitude on my mind, I thought that this was a great opportunity to make some Thank You cards. I turned to my all time favorite way to create - My Digital Studio.

 So I am pretty proud of this! I used lots of details and fun little MDS tricks (like attaching text to a shape and cropping embellishments) to make this truly special.

MDS Blog Hop - What I'm working on September - Project Life

 Hi all!

    I am so glad that I am hopping again today! I had to skip the last hop. Too much going on with surgery and all. But I am BACK!!!

    This week is one of our "What are you working on" weeks. It where we each showcase individually what we happen to be working on. I have been back in MDS in a big way. I posted a recnt page on Monday, and if you come back tomorrow for the Fancy Friday hop, you'll see a card that I am REALLY, REALLY proud of.

 On to today's project. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Project Life concept, and while I think my friend Holly completely outshines me in designing with it, I am determined to create more and more with it. Today I decided to use the Love Story Kit in a page that one might not think about using this kit on.....

 

All I used were the embellishments from the kit and some sequins. That's IT!!!
