Fancy Friday - Think Pink! Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams

Welcome to our February Fancy Friday! Thank you so much for joining us each month on our hop. I am honored to be hopping with such an amazing group of talented stampers! I love this month's theme - Think Pink. After having probably too many ideas, I finally decided to use one of my favorite new go-to stamp sets, Dragonfly Dreams.

 

 When I first received this set, I had no idea how often I would turn to it and it's fantastic coordinating dies. I love the images, I love the sentiments, and find myself being drawn to it often. I definitely think it's an extremely versatile set. HERE is another card I created with it.

 

 My favorite pink that Stampin' Up! carries is definitely Blushing Bride. It's such a soft, pretty color and I LOVE how it pairs with our Copper Embossing Powder. They are truly a match made in heaven!

 When you get this set, I HIGHLY recommend getting the coordinating dies! That's how I cut out my dragonfly after I embossed it on to the Velum cardstock. It gives the dragonfly such a delicate look.

 OH! See those Blushing Bride sequins? We don't have Blushing Bride Sequins so I used my Fine-Tip Glue to glue clear sequins from the Metallic Sequins Assortment to the flat Blushing Bride sequins from our trim! It's just a little detail that really jazzes up the card.

OSAT Blog Hop - Spring Has Sprung

Hi there! 

Spring has definitely sprung around here. We have the crazy weather, my trees are getting leaves, my roses are budding, and BASEBALL has started! 

This month we are sharing some great "Spring" inspiration. I asked my son what he thought of when I said "Spring has Sprung" and he said, "flowers". I LOVE flowers, but I honestly think they aren't my strong point when it comes to creating, so I wanted to do something a little different.

Last Halloween the fabulously talented Mercedes Weber posted a great tutorial for these cute little wreaths and I had not made one in a while. It seemed like a perfect reason to break out one of my favorite Designer Series Paper EVER - Birthday Bouquet. I LOVE it!!! Once again, I had to make this adorable little lamb a star. I can't believe how much I've used him! In fact, he really doesn't even have to stay an Easter stamp. I can totally see him used for baby projects too. In fact, my card isn't Easter-y....

EEEEEP!!! These two products just pair SO well with each other! I thought it would be fun to put them together for a cute shaker card.

It's Fancy Friday Time! What is YOUR least used Stampin' Up! color?

 Welcome back to Fancy Friday! 

 It's a Fancy February, y'all!!! You know that challenges that when you first see them you are like - "OMG!!! This is going to be soooo hard!!!" (or SOOOOO easy) and then it turns out to be the opposite? Yeah, this was one of those for me. This month we decided to dig deep in to our color stashes and pull out our least used color and create with that. When I was pulling out some of mine, I noticed something.....

 I kind of liked them together....LOL! They are all nice colors, but I honestly just do not use them very often! Now, how to get them to REALLY work together???

 

 TaDah!!! I know, I know, water color, AGAIN! Shimmer paper to the rescue again. I used one of my all time favorite Embossing Folders - Polka Dot. I LOVE water coloring those little circles! I wanted to keep the focal point simple, so this great quote from the Feel Goods stamp set seemed to fit the bill!

 What do you think? It works, right? I kind of love it and I PROMISE I will TRY to use some of these colors more often. What are YOUR least used colors?
